What news?

There is no news.

When the news of the long-awaited, full 240kW power-up (yes, that's 0.00024 gigawatts) comes, what effect do you think it will have on the share price?

AFC Energy plc is fast approaching commercialisation for its proven low-cost alkaline fuel cell system ("KORE"), which converts hydrogen into 'clean' electricity. AFC's key project POWER-UP will demonstrate the world's largest alkaline fuel cell system at Air Products' industrial gas plant in Stade, Germany. The date for the demonstration of the 240kW KORE system has been fast tracked to January 2016, representing the final phase of AFC's pre-commercialisation technical development programme and creating the platform for the Company's global commercial fuel cell deployment. They might have been up and running last month but as they said they have delayed final confirmation to this month whilst they fine tuned/tested etc the full stack??

Re. fast - as dgarvey noted they originally intended to be up and running last month so not fast tracked but delayed by a month for reasons AFC has already explained.

The update could indicate they missed the December target and are now hoping for January.Clutching at straws or a real indication? - time will tell. What's another month in the scheme of things.Interesting that the byproduct is water making the cells an attractive proposition for desert countries. Be useful to know the delivered volumes involved.

you could be onto something Dolores.
We are expecting news within the week and it wouldn't make sense to mention 'fast tracked to January' if you didn't think the company was going to hit that target.

The foot note on this morning's RNS could be an accidental update?

Would they have updated the footnote if they were not totally on course??

I agree RTW when the 250k fuel cell is proven the risks will be considerably reduced and the company can start the exciting path towards commercialisation. Norbus has the timetable and milestones needed to get there.
