Maybe we could have a spelling competition, to while away the time while we are waiting for fuel cell commercialisation? How many words can you make using AFCENERGY as an anagram? Oh, the long summer nights will simply fly by......

Robo,

I agree, it's not an exam but, you do need spelling lessons otherwise you also will be an idiot as is your opinion of Hereford.

I better make it 50 quid eh beez? Just in case news of the takeover comes sooner than expected, I don't want someone getting hold of my AFC shares on the cheap for a fiver:)

Yes just set a sell order at £5 for next month, why there is shorting is beyond me, news could come any day these days.

oh, you mean a limit sell at a much higher than quoted price takes those shares out of circulation for borrowing in order to short the stock? But I very much doubt there is much stock lending on AFC for trading is there? I wouldn't have though the liquidity warranted it.

Set limit sell just to stop shorters getting their hand on your shares and use it against you

H29...Good on you old chap....it so easy to be wise after events, yet if you had sold and lets say Akza decided to roll out AFC fuel cells in all their plants where would the share price be after that news, it will happen one day the trouble is no one knows when, especially PI's that for sure. My advice is wait till end of year before any top slicing if in profit, nothing wrong with taken a bit off the table there are other opportunities out there...

Not really Norbs, because firstly I wasn't in profit anyway then and more importantly this was always supposed to be a long term investment for me, hang on till it generated cash-flow and paid dividends, or went bust - the same as all of my other investments. I have got a lot of them badly wrong, because I focused on resources and agribusiness at the wrong time, although I still believe my fundamental premise to have been correct. I also picked affordable luxury, automotive and China, if I had been heavily weighted in those instead of in resources, I could have retired by now. But hindsight is 20/20 and all that. Anyway, I decided when I invested in 2010 I was never going to sell anything, so I'm going to stick to it and see what happens! Don't take things people say on these forums too seriously Robo, I just make some inane posts to join in with the other idiots :)

thank you Norbus for caution, its always good to reflect.£150M market cap recently was a good indication of where AFC can be, but until everything is up and running it will be a challenge to get there again. However 40p at the moment provides plenty of working capital. Fund raising will come when its needed to add value not dilute I imagine.

"Given the size of the commercial opportunity, a validation of AFC’s technology on an industrial scale could see the valuation of the company rise steeply."

Splendid comment, well done. A bit worrying to be lumped alongside quindell tho?
