Strange how stating facts is considered trolling.
I thought these BB's were for candid exchanging of views, not just for happy clapping.

Is it not factual that:

AFC still do not have a product to sell.
They have S Cell at prototype/lab stage.
L cell is dead in the water, obsolete before it's even proven.

Does that sound like progress?>

I thought 2021 has been quite transformational for AFC, when you consider how much they have achieved since this time last year. There seems to be a fairly long list of achievements in the RNS, but I suppose it depends how you want to look at it and what you expected to be achieved.

Muto,
Only Rose coloured glasses allowed here.
2021 was supposed to be the transformational year for AFC, now we are told it will be 2022, when that has been and gone without improvement it will be 2023.
Is there a pattern here?.
7+ years of AB at the helm and NO sales, he's gotta go.

Muto,Don't talk rubbish. Nobody is burying anything, most of us have far better and far more interesting things to talk about, such as talking about the future not the past, and there's still 2 weeks left of 2021 anyway.

I thought it was going to be higher by the end of this year with the "expected multiple orders for 50 qualified enquires".
Seems fine by some to bury that RNS and not discuss it.

"Following months of analysis of the AEM "S" Series stack architecture, designed for hydrogen or ammonia fuelling, it became clear that with nominal changes to system chemistry and design, a further iteration to the "S" Series was possible that would enable adoption of Methanol fuel (in addition to hydrogen). Whilst both utilise similar "S" Series stack architecture, the Company decided to delineate the AEM platform from what is now regarded as the "Hybrid Fuel Cell, or "HFC", platform."

"Without the need for anion exchange membrane technology, proving times are materially accelerated and the HFC platform can be more expeditiously deployed to customer sites in commercial prototype form."

"The HFC platform therefore provides added fuel flexibility in the product platform AFC Energy will release and we expect to see first HFC systems deployed in the first half of 2022 to customer sites."

This bit definitely indicates a proven membrane technology like Nafion is being used instead of Alkamem: "Without the need for anion exchange membrane technology, proving times are materially accelerated and the HFC platform can be more expeditiously deployed to customer sites in commercial prototype form."

The prototype part of it is the stack, not the Membrane they are using, and the Membrane is already a commercial product hence they can already call it a 'commercial' prototype.

HFC is the equivalent of AFC buying a commercial Hydrogen Fuel Cell manufacturer, upgrading it's commercial Fuel Cells to AFC cartridge based systems, and then selling these systems, it is not tons of R&D or testing, as the Membrane going into the HFC is already a proven product.

Because it's a commercial Membrane, it's easy to get rolling it out from Q1 2022 as advised in the RNS.

Based on this, the share price by end of H1 2022 should be well above where it is today.

2022 will be THE Year!!

"Signed commercial lease agreement with Urban-Air Port for the supply of fuel cell systems in 2022"

"AFC Energy today announces a new Hybrid Fuel Cell ("HFC") technology platform developed and confirmed within the "S" Series range, set for initial deployment in early 2022."

"New customer led product roadmap and roll out schedule from early 2022"

"We are highly motivated by what 2022 is to bring with a number of company firsts expected, as we continue to deliver on a technically and commercially viable transition initially away from the $20bn diesel generator market, underpinned by the collective aim of achieving a near term Net Zero future."

"Commercial agreements currently worth GBP4.5m (at the time of this statement, including post year end contracts) reflect an increase from last year. Throughout the course of 2022, we expect this to further increase as commercial interest in our technology continues to rise in off-grid power systems."

"Commercial agreements for 2022 are expected to take several forms, including outright fuel cell system sales or leases, funded customer product development programmes, and engineering fees."

"Work has also been continuing constructively with MACE with the two companies undertaking several work programmes since March, including engagement with regulatory bodies, multiple site measurement and assessments of power needs (considering variable power loads from cranes) in advance of system deployment in 2022."

"ACCIONA and Julich have been engaging with AFC Energy on our new product portfolio expected for release in 2022. Due to previously communicated delays on each site, an opportunity has arisen to review product deployment for each site with a particular interest in the new "S" Series systems which are expected for early deployment in 2022."

"The HFC platform therefore provides added fuel flexibility in the product platform AFC Energy will release and we expect to see first HFC systems deployed in the first half of 2022 to customer sites."

"The HFC will be deployable in Q1 2022 running off direct hydrogen"

"First deployments of the HFC system are expected to take place in the first half of 2022 to customer sites on lease terms."

"The S Series is set for validation at 100kW scale in the second half of 2022 as part of the ABB deployment announced a few weeks ago"

"2022 will see a number of new systems deployed to the market, many from the Company's new product range."

"With the introduction of the AEM and HFC "S" Series systems, AFC Energy is now confident that it affords maximum optionality to its customers in fuelling in a way that no other fuel cell technology can. We expect to leverage this "fuel flex" approach to all our commercial partners and customers and believe with this market offering, and the power density we expect to achieve from our "S" Series platforms, that 2022 will see many new opportunities emerge for the Company to capitalise on its leading position to displace diesel generators within the next decade."

I am encouraged by the number of avenues open for AFC to explore. Not all of these will succeed and that is why the spread and diversity is right. Hydrogen has to succeed in a number of areas and AFC are in the ones that matter with world class partners. Still undervalued but I believe that will change in 2022.

Great news today IMVHO. The brokers and analysts will be all over this news of the S Series being available so quickly, when the market was looking at early 2023 until today's RNS, and the cherry on the cake is it can take Methanol as an option too..The Acciona and Juelich delays don't appear to be anything caused by AFC, and importantly they are progressing..MACE is looking great with two sites looking to get FC Generators in early 2022, as expected, and looks timed to be ahead of the Red Diesel ban..The generator deal with Altaaqa should also come with orders for several demonstrator systems..All looking good from here!!

You guys really are like mushrooms.
How many times have you heard, delivery by year end?.
That date comes and goes and further future dates are given and not met again.
There is a pattern here.
It is easy to sell a dream or a product you don't have.
It now seems absolutely clear L Cell is dead in the water with Acciona and Julich now waiting for the next promised hold grail of products.
The CEO's position is unattainable.

Jimmynan,
Thanks for your articulate response.
It will be reported.
The 4.5M was not a sale it was a payment against development costs for series S cell.

BOND close the door behind you on the way out..
After @8 years at the helm it seems clear AB does not have the ability to get a deal, any deal over the line.
Come on 8 years and ZERO sales, they guy has got to go.
Come on Chairman and BOD, replace the guy he's dead wood.

Todays report confirms there is no market for current L system HFC.
Acciona and Julich now waiting for S-Cell.
Does this sound familiar?-Jam tomorrow approach.
AFC still very much an R&D company without proven products.
2021 a very disappointing year for investors.
