19/7/2012 17:04 | Didn't this company have a new CEO That was supposed to turn this company around or was it some other company I'm thinking of. I guess it has two ways to go from hear option 1 a multi multi bagger or option 2 game set and match . Murry mints Murry mints to good to hurry mints nite nite folks | vision88
19/7/2012 12:11 | someone bought 100 mill shares at .042 end of ysterdays trading day just showing up | mally6
19/7/2012 11:18 | Well it's academic really. Whether they survive as a going concern, get broken up or sold off there is unlikely to be anything left for shareholders and that is what they have said. Game over I'm afraid - I never like to see Companies go under as far as Shareholders are concerned as I hold plenty different myself (not these fortunately though). | isis
19/7/2012 10:45 | isis i dont think you fully understand what i'm saying | hughey8
19/7/2012 10:42 | smcl - I don't post much but I did say something similar on one of the other AAT threads in March. As I said then, I am a long way from having any insider knowledge of the company nowadays..... | scallywag
19/7/2012 10:32 | hughey - any creditor can pull the trigger or they may just go voluntary. | isis
19/7/2012 10:18 | Scallywag - pity you didnt post these comments previously about your role - it might have alerted many on this to the true position of AAT. Bit late in the day to be saying this???? | smcl
19/7/2012 09:41 | isis so who's going to pull the trigger?Lloyds cant/wont | hughey8
19/7/2012 09:31 | Speaking as a beneficiary of the pension fund, I don't mind too much if the shareholders get shafted. I made a few ££ stagging the issue when I was an employee in the 90s - since then it's been fairly obvious which way the company has headed. In fact I took my pension a year or two early in 2005 because I was concerned the company would go down the toilet and the pension scheme would be affected. The only surprise to me is that AEAT survived for as long as it has. My thoughts are with the remaining employees - former work colleagues, who have been kicked around from pillar to post for years. | scallywag
19/7/2012 09:30 | No one is gonna buy this, the Creditors will lose their money. The Shareholders already have. | isis
19/7/2012 09:27 | isis the only problem with administration is that lloyds wouldnt be the first creditor in the queue...the pension scheme would be. | hughey8
19/7/2012 08:38 | Ironically in auction +14.3% Which is about half the spread! | skinny
19/7/2012 08:22 | Yeah,that's right,you keep on telling yourself that. | duncandisorderly
19/7/2012 08:15 | But it does not have to be that way. THE SHAREHOLDERS OWN THE COMPANY NOT THE EMPLOYEES, THE CREDITORS OR THE PENSION FUND. The company can only damage value in the stock if you sit back throw your arms up in the air and say to yourselves there's nothing that can be done. | pwhite73
19/7/2012 08:00 | AAT Auction 38m buy 12m sell orders No market value orders | psavvides
19/7/2012 07:59 | It's just like DTZ where the banks and pensions were looked after and the shareholder was left with zero | duncandisorderly
19/7/2012 07:51 | rburtn Yes agreed with first paragraph | psavvides
19/7/2012 07:48 | It seems to me that the interpretation to be put on this RNS is that aeat is a going concern, it has not been found possible to sell it so as to provide any value for shareholders and that in the meantime, subject to managing the liabilities it will look to break off pieces of assets and muddle through. So, in other words it's being run for its employees and pensioners. From my knowledge of the folks there, that's all they want to do: do fascinating things for a moderate income and security in retirement - they aren't looking to lay up great wealth so are not very commercial. | rburtn
19/7/2012 07:46 | Normally true, but when people are off loading and other people were chancers with ridiculous buy orders it lead to a downward spiral. | psavvides
19/7/2012 07:44 | Also the share price would not have fallen as far if buys were 2 v 1 sells | knigel
19/7/2012 07:41 | Thanks KNIGEL, My level 2 stated that buying orders to selling orders were higher by 2 to 1 most of yesterday. And we were just short of 600 miliion shares traded by Closing Auction. Where did you get your figures from? | psavvides
19/7/2012 07:29 | PSavvides, there was circ 400 million shares sold and 200 million shares brought so MMs sitting on quite a few shares I imagine? Might be worth daytrading AAT as further 10-20% swings in either direction likely but like GMG the plug could be pulled at any time imo after yesterdays RNS | knigel |
