December 18th, 2017 -- ADVFN Crypto NewsWire -- ADVFN (LSE:AFN) is now offering free CME Bitcoin futures data to its four million registered users.
Bitcoin futures trading began on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) yesterday and retail investors using ADVFN and InvestorsHub - the global stocks, shares and crypto information websites - can access this delayed information at no cost at: www.advfn.com and www.investorshub.com.
The futures contracts allow investors to go long or short Bitcoin using a traditional instrument rather than holding the cryptocurrency directly. There are four futures contracts available: Jan 2018, Feb 2018, Mar 2018 and Jun 2018. The ticker on ADVFN and InvestorsHub for the January 18 contract is CME:BTCF18.
Anyone visiting the ADVFN and InvestorsHub websites can obtain quotes, view charts and access real-time news for CME Bitcoin Futures (https://uk.advfn.com/stock-market/CME/BTC%5CF18/share-price & https://ih.advfn.com/stock-market/CME/BTC%5CF18/stock-price). Users can add these contracts to their portfolios and see bid, offer, highs, lows and current prices along with traded volumes. They can also view them on their monitor pages alongside their other investments.
"Private investors can now bet on the direction of Bitcoin's price movement without actually owning the underlying asset, which demonstrates again how Bitcoin is becoming increasingly mainstream," said Clem Chambers, CEO of ADVFN. "ADVFN's users have a very strong appetite for cryptocurrencies so we have acted fast to give them immediate free access to CME Bitcoin futures data."
