OK, maybe it's about £12m admin costs, but the Harley Street facility is surely already financed and future sales would be financed by the customer? £40m for each facility? They surely won't be going into production on the off chance of a few sales, so upfront payments from the customer and full payment on completion, thereafter royalties on treatments? Maybe some bridging finance for the first few perhaps.

Their total salary bill was about £7m which again is not a lot to carry. So where is this huge cash burn? ------- Words fail me!

I have been following Avo since early 2014, I would be surprised if there is a private investor who knows more about the company than Daijavu or Twirl, whilst you may not agree with their opinions it would seem to me to at least listen and take onboard their considered opinions.

The £13m costs in 2016 were nearly all admin costs, just £0.77m capex costs and £2.82m tax rebate, so the loss was about £10m. It all looks pretty good financially, and probably considerable income from orders in the next 3 years. They must have a nearly finished product in terms of design as the first machines for Harley Street must be in progress (?) I don't own shares here but it all looks very promising. GLA.

£37m in cash plus the credit line will take them all-ish the way to commercial launch = Unicorn valuation. i understand this will disappoint "daijavu", however that is the way it is. no more, no less.

Their top executives were getting about £210,000 in 2016, which is not a lot as executive pay goes. Their total salary bill was about £7m which again is not a lot to carry. So where is this huge cash burn?

banner. Think what you like. I'm just telling it as it is. Igbert. With the salaries at that level, the Chinese cash won't last very long.

Always remember with this company, the Directors do well however badly the company performs. "In May 2014, a contract of employment was entered into with a family member of Dr Michael Sinclair, Executive Chairman. The terms and conditions of employment and remuneration were negotiated and agreed upon by the Remuneration Committee. The remuneration and benefits payable under the contract, excluding Company statutory and other costs, were 2017 £269,265 (2016 £148,655 )."

Andy. Neither matters because the consequences for shareholders are, and have been, as bad in either case. In any case, dishonesty is difficult to prove so perhaps we have to go with the fact that the BoD were probably just incredibly naive when they told shareholders that the development of LIGHT was on track when it was actually years behind schedule. The Chinese contracts don't exactly inspire me with confidence either. Not after the previous debacles AVO had in China. Those contracts were announced and signed at a grand ceremony during an official State Visit with high profile members of both Governments photographed at the signing. They were also supposed to open the vast Chinese market to AVO just as the new contracts are supposed to. It is a case of dejavu with a vengeance so you must excuse me if I'm not impressed. The Chinese funding is nothing new either. The cash is likely to vanish into the AVO money pit with nothing much to show for it, just like the last lot of Chinese money did. I will bide my time and wait to see what happens.
