Figures for period end June have, over past 4 years been between 5th and 8th September with announcement for the due date given between 27th july and 17th Aug.
No announcement has been made as to when we might expect figures, why the delay?

Now looks like somebody bought a holding under 3% for investment, like St Life did when they topped up, paying up to 97 p, so may well retreat further pending results.

Above average volume today, guess we could have some news tomorrow morning, either on the US or bidder perhaps? GLA

This had a history of being stagged before results. This is on thin turnover, and placees at 72 p are not rushing out. bid smell can't be discounted

There is a link on iii to an article on Friday ... "10 AIM Stocks for your ISA"

Any specific reason why Norbus, only ideas I have is maybe AMS is benefiting from a rush into good AIM stocks via ISAs, or takeover looming perhaps ?

Paul Mumford, manager, Cavendish AIM fund

Advanced Medical Solutions

"Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS) is at the safer end of AIM. It has two fantastic products: bandages made from silver and seaweed, which are highly durable and can reduce scarring; and a superglue that can be used instead of stitches to close wounds more effectively to infection, allow more delicate work and reduce the need for patients to return to hospital. Both products are selling well. AMS could become an acquisition target for one of the large pharmaceutical companies."

Cool; I will look at QPP, but ITM is either the future Google, Microsoft of Hydrogen or I have been taken for a long ride:-)

I did look at QPP; thought you were really looking to invest in woodland. complex. you need a lot of things to go right for a long time to hit a re-rate. I am weary of these software companies. ITM has gone well past lab into world leadership in the energy technology of the future DYOR = you will not regret another look. Happy retirement.

No ... never did ... the one I was looking at was taken off market etc ...

I think I did look at ITM at one point, but never bought in ...

I have moved a load into QPP recently which is (IMO only of course) hugely undervalued compared to the US equivalent Guidewire ... This is "my" forest play ... Retiring early in couple weeks (55) looking forward to the divis on these just growing and growing ... hahahah ...

I think the fate of this is closer to Don's Pension than anyone has worked out yet. Ever since they were voted a big lump of shares to Don, Mary and Chris , the outlook turned defensive. That was the bigger shame, because this could easily have grown organically to a medium size company.

Pedr01
Did you buy your wood? Have you ever looked at ITM? That is buying me a whole forest, I hope. This has the feel of being taken out at 105/110

Someone is going to take AMS out but when??????

If it happens, I think it would be a shame actually ... Don't understand why majority UK investors won't let their companies grow and always want to be taken over for a tiny up-lift in share price ...

Interesting market, house broker trying to keep price down. Seems an interest in buying from someone recently, (at one time I was sure it was usa buying)
Figures most likely not before early September although we expect the figures to be ok as per pre close statement.
Someone is going to take AMS out but when??????

If they do go on as you hope, then 90~100 would be fair
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

No huge volumes though, so could be they had a good half ; Still tempted to think Evans might deliver the company and go @120. since the fire is cooling. Sure he would be happier taking the money before he retires, as one slip and they revisit

I have no idea of takeover, but,f there is to be one 90p will not be enough. We have visited 90+ some time ago but did not hold and then we had change in mamagement style, takeover the germans etc and the price fell. If any takeover was too happen AMS is a strong profitable company and well over a pound would be needed to loosen the grip of the long holders

Axa probably run loads of client accounts. So rebalancing at quarter end. Plus inflows and outflows of said clients. The bullish thing is that still want to hold at a net level.

The way i see it is they sold a few hundred thousand shares on 2nd and bought more than they sold on 3rd to increase overall holding.
