There are very clear rules on how companies communicate with shareholders / potential shareholders. Yes they are often poorly enacted and even more poorly enforced. However the companies that pay lip service or indeed deliberately breach them are not worth investing in. We had posts the other day about someone getting through on the phone and thinking he had been given an up to date cash position. It would appear that that person misinterpreted what was said as it would have been illegal for the company to have given this info. That did not stop the person posting his misinterpretation and others buying in on the basis of it. Some companies do this sort of thing deliberately (I don't believe in this case ADV did but they should have been more careful - a polite AIM rules mean we can't tell you anything more than we already have in our RNSs should be the answer to all such enquiries). Those companies are bad companies, badly run by bad people, all they ever do is destroy wealth leaving nothing but misery in their wake.

RNSs are the only legal source of material information. These are written by PR companies to put the best spin on things without lying (though there have been many lies told in RNSs by many companies many of which no longer exist). RNSs need to be critically analysed in that light. Decent discussion boards (there are sadly very few of those) should aid people in doing their own critical analysis so they can make their own investment decisions better. The most valuable posts are those that bring realistic and experienced analysis to a situation, which draws a different conclusion to the one you had drawn. That does not mean it is right and you should react accordingly, just that you should factor the points raised to your own analysis and not just vote up the posts that say what you want to hear.

Many thanks for your kind words The Chairman Elect - over the years I have learned that communication with investors is important, even if it is just the courtesy to return a call as a holding measure.

The ADV BoD have massive challenges on a number of business fronts - and they need to work hard to try and re-build trust and confidence across stakeholders.

Sadly, their inaction so far does not instil any degree of confidence and on the contrary, erodes whatever is left IMHO.

You are a good lad multibagger from the CYAN / LSE:CYAN thread amongst various but before you rush to sell just ponder this for a moment....

Perhaps they can not talk to investors right now as they are dealing with sensitive corporate matters ?!?!?

Sadly not. The last Net Current Assets position was as at 30 Oct 21 and a lot has happened since then. There are projections based on announced expenditures and admin cost run rates which have been posted on this board.

Another way to look at it is what the company now says ie:

"The Board has implemented measures to reduce the Company's cost base by over 50%"

"Following completion of the Buffalo-10 well and the settlement of associated authorised costs, and supported by the initiatives to reduce the cost base, the Board believes it has sufficient liquidity to progress new business development through the current calendar year." Ie 11 months of admin costs - progress new business development does not mean do new business.

In the 6 months to 30 Oct Admin costs were a staggering $2.258m reduce by 50% and divide by 6 and then multiply by 11 gives $2.07m or £1.530. Which is in line with what others have calculated. MCAP currently £2.8m hence valuing on NCA or NAV (as they are the same in this case) makes this share nearly 100% overvalued.

Take into account that NCA/NAV only goes down over time as there is no cash generation and nothing to sell and this company is about 1000% percent overvalued at the moment with no cash to spend on investments and an investing strategy that has no precedent anywhere of delivering genuine returns to shareholders.
