KatyLied, do agree your idea of a possible scam here but can not figure out how they can run away with the money without of going to jail. Maybe they can trow in the ring that the money has been on bank in default, but even then it would be partly protected. Anyway have seen a lot of the Emblaze familly and every time they pull a new stunt. Someone has the info about the resolutions that has been presented and dully passed?

Had a chat with Corfin. They told me the difference between the amount to be returned was due to currency fluctuations. I pointed out that sterling had not depreciated that markedly. Didn't really have an answer to that. On track to return the cash by end of first quarter. Couldn't really explain why there had been such a delay in applying for a court date. Expects cash to be returned by end of first quarter rather than announcing it will be returned. I just want this sorry mess put to bed and cash returned ASAP.

This whole 'return of cash' affair has become quite baffling. The 1st aniversary of the 'completed' sale to Mobixel is 19/4/2008 and any possible claim on escrow funds ends on that date. That is now only ~8 weeks away. Ever since the decision for a 2 phase return of cash was announced, it has been clear that a 1st phase could (and should) have already occured, since until the 2nd phase, the escrow endures. Yet it seems they have only recently (late Jan 2008) applied to the court for any return at all. It was also once suggested that it could take the court months to approve. Which would then put the actual payment date well past the end of the escrow period and therefore no longer relevent or desirable (cost overhead) to split the cash at all. There is almost certainly a scam going on here, we just haven't (yet) figured out precisely how it will unfold...

I think we will still be looking at 27p first tranche followed by 5p in the second???

nickcduk - 15 Feb'08 - 09:53 - 781 of 788 If we don't get an AGM statement and no one attends then I will give Corfin a call and see what the state of play is. Nickduk did you call Corfin?

"KatyLied - 21 Jan'08 - 14:12 - 8549 of 12046: No coogar, you don't understand. Brown has bottled. They will not be a nationalization. It is just a bluff now. That is why the share-price bounced today. The city knows it...And the city boys are rubbing their hands with glee, at the promise of a massive fee..." LOL - well done katylied - you really called Northern Rock right !

Cheers Nick, of course if nothing was said at the meeting - Corfin might feel they can't disclose anything either? Of course the absence of any statement at this time means that we have to ASSUME that the first distribution of c. $19.2m to shareholders is still on track for sometime in the next 45 days. If there is any deviation from that then surely the Co & Corfin would be failing in their duty if they had not disclosed it. So at least they should be able to confirm that this is still the case. As you say any information on why the first distro is now $19.2m rather thah $22m would be helpful. Katy - 'unfortunately' your resolution didn't make it onto the agenda. There were obviously just too many resolutions to go through.

I wonder if "...all resolutions were passed..." includes the one I proposed, whereby rather than all the cash being returned to shareholders in general... Instead it should all be given to KatyLied?... Hmmmmmmm...

I was thinking if no one actually turned up to the meeting then not a lot would have been said and we are unlikely to be any the wiser as to when we might see our cash. Ill give Corfin a call on Monday and will report back anything interesting of note.

Result of AGM RNS now issued, as I suspected there's no statement at all, just confirmation that all resolutions were passed. Over to you Nick!

If we don't get an AGM statement and no one attends then I will give Corfin a call and see what the state of play is. If they are to meet their end of Q1 target for return of cash they really should have more information to provide to shareholders.

Hi nick, I had intended to attend, but unfortunately urgent personal commitments have kept me away - no RNS yet suggests to me that we won't get an AGM statement - so I hope someone else does attend to provide some feedback. But there were only two of us at the EGM (and the other fella is not a BB poster as far as I could tell) so I would doubt it. Come on there's still 45 minutes for someone nearby to nip down the road!!

Noticed the AGM is tomorrow. If anyone is attending we would be grateful if they could post any information they glean. Management seem to be dragging their heels to line their own pockets at the moment. Needs to be put to a stop. I would like to know why the initial cash distribution is lower than they intimated in their previous announcement. It would be nice if we had a firmer idea of how much we are likely to receive when all is done and dusted.

Hey PAR12, back in this stock, thought you sold out to buy Emblaze. Time is getting closer, I realy can not think about something bad at the moment that can happen with that money on the bank, except: The bank where the money is placed went bankrupt, The board ran away with the money, terrorisme on the bank where the money is, anyway a way to far searched so it should be safe but my patianced is also getting run out with this *@rm*fc$£°°0.... A good reason not to buy in to there family anymore as Emblaze, especially as my bottom of 45p was hit. Takes a long time for the jugde approval.....to pay out.....

So 2008Q1 payout will be $19.2m @ 2.00 fx rate = £9.6m = 27p/share with 35,546,636 shares in issue. With up to ($23.4m - $19.2m + $0.55m)/ * (2 x 35,546,636) = 6.7p future payout. 28p mid, looks good to me.

Dollar is up against the pound, good news for that little dollars they still have, bad news for me who lives in the Euro area, pound is down big against the euro. I better had sold stock at discount but the pound was trading higher then.
