08/3/2013 15:14 | ACM in Allenby Capitals "Super 12" stocks - companies that not only pay a high dividend but they believe also offer upside share price potential... rather a interesting read and can be found here: DYORyolo | dyoryolo
04/9/2012 13:01 | Nice little run of late. Probably shouldn't mention it. Good Luck. | gerryjames
26/6/2012 06:52 | Long term prospects still look very good, however........ | this_is_me
31/5/2012 20:19 | Well 8% yield, p/e of 6, no debt and money in the bank....but those with the power to make it happen seem intent on getting down to the £1.20 to fit the computer trading module's required pattern....so frustrating but we all have two choices. | marvelman
24/4/2012 13:33 | Well someone has bought 25000 shares for the last 3 trading days in a row. Not moving the price much though... | vosene
20/4/2012 14:58 | Yes, patience with this one. Nothing spectacular but more importantly as Gerry says no bombshells. Great yield, money in the bank, no debt and well positioned for any upturn. Also, as we know, a possible T/O target especially at these low share price levels. | marvelman
20/4/2012 11:12 | RNS says analyst briefing on 26th June. Last year the briefing was on results day so I guess we already know when to expect final results. Sounds like the dividend is safe and will probably be nudged up a little I suspect. | vosene
20/4/2012 08:04 | looks good especially with yield - see www.cityconfidential | sharetips
20/4/2012 06:40 | Well Marvel looks good to me. In line, partnerships and expansion. No bombshells and we only need the global economy to improve. Which it is. Turnover 26m Profit before tax 4.5m See you on the 26th. Good luck. | gerryjames
05/4/2012 10:44 | Thanks Vosene. I have been adding here while taking a beating from a sustained seller but have no doubts about the prospects of this company. The yield is incredible now and at some point PI's will pick up on it. It still is a potential takover target as well as being an acquirer itself. Regards. | marvelman
05/4/2012 09:34 | Edison comments on ACMG The recently-concluded takeover talks with RS Platou highlight the underlying value of the ACM business. As confirmed in the November interim statement, margins are under short-term pressure from weak freight rates, but management continues to sustain business development and to generate cash. The group's strong position in the global oil tanker market and action being taken to build a presence in dry cargos and to rebuild the sale and purchase business all reinforce the medium-term recovery potential. | vosene
11/3/2012 23:26 | I used to hold this company but recently took the opportunity to exit. One of the things which shocked me about it was the annual dilution of shares to pay for the executive's packages. It was in the region of 5%, which i found shocking! I know all the reasons behind this and the type of company it is etc. but still... Does anyone know of any other listed firm that dilutes to this extent every year?? | crawfish123
02/3/2012 08:36 | This had a positive write up in Shares magazine this week - "pile in" - though I see nobody has mentioned it here, and virtually no trades this week. So I guess readers of Shares magazine do not care about shares like this, and investors in ACMG do not read Shares magazine! | vosene
28/2/2012 17:59 | I got a divi the other day..........which was nice. Since I've been gambling on the AIM, I'd forgotten about such things. Good Luck. | gerryjames
21/2/2012 14:01 | I think this is good news personally. ACM are a good company and shouldn't fall over on one bit of disappointing news. Plenty of time to recover! | topvest
21/2/2012 08:01 | But some sort of merger with Platou London Office. Whatever that means??? -------------------- However, it has instead commenced discussions with RS Platou's London operation, RS Platou LLP, which was formed in 2009, with a view to both businesses working together. | ferries5
20/2/2012 19:12 | Platou deal off. See article on Tradewinds | dendria
30/1/2012 07:36 | It totally undervalues the company and takes advantage of the low share price. The management are, however not likely to care about the cash price since they want to lock in the management by insisting that they take shares in the private company making the effer. I sent an e-mail to Ian Hartley, Finance Director ( ihartley@acmshipping | this_is_me
27/1/2012 14:08 | Is this offer for real it totally undervalues the company? | kellyturbo1

29/11/2011 18:41 | Yes, good news here today. Hopefully they will be back to their previous strength in a year or so. | topvest
29/11/2011 11:11 | Yes. Nice yield and a relatively safe haven. | marvelman
29/11/2011 09:06 | Results out today. Better than I thought they were going to be. Slight increase in dividend, strong cash position and no debt. | ged5
29/10/2011 06:25 | Thanks for the info Vulgaris. Good to have some commentary on this quiet thread. | marvelman |
