5.6m from disposal + 1.9M cash = 7.5M They said they would have around 6M so is that 1.5M
a)taking into account relocation/disposal costs?
b)other company costs?
c)gone into someone's back pocket?
d)something else?

6 million cash less liabilities of 2.6 plus the value of the trading subsid of 3.5 gives a value of 6.9m against a market capital of £3m. Price should be nearer to 20p

asl1978 If you take their quotes on income from the disposal you've also got to take into account their quote (in the conditional disposal of IVA portfolio RNS) of their costs which have got to come off the cash pile available....

" In addition to the direct costs of the Disposals, the
Company has agreed with its principal landlord to make certain payments to
relinquish its leasehold interests in 18,000 square feet of office space in
Manchester city centre. Together with certain tax liabilities associated with
the Disposals, these total approximately GBP2.6m."

Pugg1ey - Your post is exactly my point.... : "it has 50% of it's original business so does it still make money?"....... the fact that you end your point with a question mark just says that nope of us are sure that Byron is still making money (Debt Management plans are suffering massive breakage rates in todays environment which cuts Bryoms income stream as soon as they stop paying)

....... The main point being that the board here just don't tell us information & can't even be bothered to reply to direct questions asked to them ...... yet expect an investor to trust them to look after our interests!

You've hit the nail on the head with your forecast of a cheap MBO...... shafting existing investors

DYOR!

"The Group remains debt-free and at the end of April had a cash position of
GBP1.9m, which is expected to increase to approximately GBP6m following
completion of the disposal of the insolvency division"

I admit I am taking them very much on their word rather than my own calculations but we are still looking at a business with more cash than their mkt cap and a business which I believe is making money rather than losing it.

they had 1.9M in cash before the disposal and still had a profitable division until numbers are given (it has 50% of it's original business so does it still make money?)

whilst they have to pay fees to get out of certain contracts their ongoing overheads will be significantly reduced

Still checking back here on a regular basis!

asl1978...I'm interested in where you get your £6m cash pile from?? The IVA book disposal got them 5.6m of from which then then paid 2.6m to get out of the lease on their central manchester plush property & a tax liability.

My bet is that they continue to burn cash on a monthy basis & are merrily eating into what's left of that cash pile........... Not that you'll know this given that your board refuse to communicate with their shareholders

Pugg1ey (among others) has called this already..... burn the cash (probably on huge salaries for themselves) then as it's running low then back to the market for a cheap MBO.

All imho......
