OK, I sold today - it's ex-Div, so the 2p and fee saving I'd get for waiting at least 3 months for cash is close to negligible.

Ultimately I've lost some capital, but the dividends over the years have meant that it's been better than having the money in a bank savings account.

Dividend as previously expected




On 19 November 2020, the Directors declared an interim dividend of 12p per ordinary share for the three month period to 30 September 2020. The dividend will be paid from the Company's special distributable reserve.

The dividend will be paid on 23 December 2020 to shareholders on the register as of 4 December 2020. The ex-dividend date is 3 December 2020.

The Company has elected to designate all of the interim dividend for the three month period to 30 September 2020 as an interest distribution to its shareholders. In doing so the Company is taking advantage of UK tax treatment by "streaming" income from interest-bearing investments into dividends that will be taxed in the hands of shareholders as interest income.

No tax will be deducted at source from the interest distribution paid on 23 December 2020, or from future interest distributions following changes to the taxation of dividends effective from 6 April 2019.

Shareholders with automatic dividend reinvestment arrangements should note that this dividend will not be available for automatic reinvestment and will be paid in cash

Offer price reduced, but it looks as if it will go through

he board of directors of Waterfall EIT UK Limited and the board of directors of ACI are pleased to announce that they have reached agreement on the terms of a recommended cash offer for the entire issued ordinary share capital of ACI. It is intended that the Acquisition will be implemented by way of a Court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement under Part 26 of the Companies Act.

· Under the terms of the Acquisition, each ACI Shareholder will be entitled to receive:

870 pence in cash per ACI Share

· ACI Shareholders will also be entitled to receive an interim dividend of up to 12 pence per ACI Share if declared and paid by the ACI Board in respect of the period ended 30 September 2020 (the "Q3 Dividend"). The ACI Board currently anticipates declaring the Q3 Dividend at or around the time of the publication of month-end NAV for the month ended 30 September 2020, which is currently expected to be released in the week ending 13 November 2020



Simon King, Chairperson of ACI , said:

"The Board welcomes and unanimously recommends the Offer from Waterfall, which we believe is the best outcome for shareholders, providing liquidity and certainty. The offer already has the support of holders of 40.8% of the Company's shares and we urge undecided shareholders to consider the advantages of this firm cash offer against the alternatives in highly uncertain markets."
