18/8/2021 19:05 | I'm sure many here would welcome steady buying between now and next month's interims. | kfr20
18/8/2021 18:34 | There has been steady buying and next to no selling for several days. I suspect that momentum gathered this morning and more investors have just joined in as the day progressed. Most are probably fully aware of the excellent prospects ahead and see very little downside risk, so why not? It doesn’t take much buying to keep nudging the price up. Yes, “interims are not due until September 14th”, but that’s not far away - no time at all, in fact, unless you’ve got a pretty short investment horizon. | aimingupward2
18/8/2021 18:02 | No idea. Has it possibly been tipped somewhere? Interims are not due until September 14th. | kfr20
18/8/2021 15:52 | Any explanation for the 11.29% rise today? | fegger
10/7/2021 10:21 | For those who might have missed it. Paton his excellent commentary bask in the problematic days. knowledge.sharescope apad | apad
10/7/2021 07:45 | The usual accounting issues with a company growing fast, acquiring bolt-ons and hitting a problem (important that it was not of its own making). The normal red flags but nothing too big or waving too fast. I should’ve been deciding to reinvest at the time of the rights issue, but I had lost confidence in the management. To me it now has the good characteristics of a software company, together with a significant first-mover advantage, and the management problem is solved. It is effectively a US company and I wouldn’t be surprised if the US CEO brings it home to yoodle land. apad | apad
09/7/2021 09:53 | Cheers APAD/Jimmy. I finally got around to watching the whole thing yesterday and was so so impressed by Steve Brown and have topped up again this morning. I wish I'd seen it last year as shares were 270p last July and are 620p+ now! I really recommend the interview to anyone invested or interested in accesso as you get to know more about Steve's character, how he got to the top, how the shares dropped 80% after he left and why he returned, why accesso bought complementary companies and much more. It was interesting for him to be interviewed by Theme Park experts rather than just the same old finance faces. He combines entrepreneurial spirit, energy, inspirational qualities and in-depth specialist knowledge expertly. Naturally the interview focused on Theme Park Attractions but accesso are moving into management of Airport queuing in a big way and the market there is enormous. I'll leave you with this quote from Steve: "The number 1 reason that people don't go to Theme Parks is “I don’t like waiting in line. Number 2 is how much it costs. Always in that order. If you can address the number 1 objection consumers have to doing something why would you not address it?” | w13ken
09/7/2021 08:56 | Positive Simply Wall Street article... | w13ken
09/7/2021 08:04 | What an excellent interview, Ken. Ta. I held ACSO back in the heyday (having nearly bought LoQ 😊). Wondered about getting back in at the placing - and didn't 😊 Bought a small holding on the rns to remind me to do some research, so your link was very timely for me and I would have never found it on my own. Anyroadup, Brown is impressive. Ta again. apad | apad
07/7/2021 15:58 | Hi Ken - Thanks for the link - will look at this later. I don't want this share price to go up drastically short term - I want to buy more! I think its a company that now we have Steve Brown back in charge - we can get in past the 1000p mark once more. | jimmywilson612
07/7/2021 15:14 | I hope they are considering a move to the US stock market. | wisewilliam
07/7/2021 14:50 | That's very modest on the part of Peel Hunt. 699p is less than the peak seen in April before this excellent new today was known. Simply Wall St seem to have a better grasp of the potential here. | aimingupward2
07/7/2021 11:07 | Peel Hunt seem to agree with us and Simply Wall Street say Fair value is 1210p. PEEL HUNT RAISES ACCESSO TECHNOLOGY TO 'BUY' ('ADD') - TARGET 699 (678) PENCE | w13ken
07/7/2021 08:03 | And the summarising words “highly optimistic about the future fot the business overall”. | aimingupward2
07/7/2021 06:32 | Indeed - and also this: "As a result, in the absence of major new impacts from the pandemic, the Board now expects full year revenue for 2021 to be in excess of $100m. Alongside this strong current trading, the Group's confidence in its future growth trajectory is also bolstered by a significant uptick in demand from potential customers who are looking to introduce technology upgrades as part of their pandemic recovery initiatives." The prior trading statement said revenues would be comfortably more than $83m this year, so this is a major upgrade to more than $100m - and with six months still to go this could be increased further. | rivaldo
07/7/2021 06:11 | TU out. I especially liked this bit: "accesso is pleased to report that since its AGM trading statement on 18 May 2021, the Group has continued to benefit from pent-up customer demand and the accelerating trend towards online commerce in its end markets. The Group has seen operators' need to manage capacity boost its online reservation activity, and its virtual queueing solutions have seen demand well beyond historic levels. This has resulted in year-to-date revenues in 2021 significantly ahead of expectations." | capitalist
01/7/2021 11:34 | Airports test virtual queuing for security checkpoints. I just topped up again as I think the wait-time-reducing trial will be a big success in the 2 airports and the potential is for it to be used in thousands. "Airports, and the vendors partnering with them on the trials, say the deployments are geared toward making the airport experience less stressful for flyers. Virtual queuing could also reduce crowding as Covid-19 continues to be a concern. And passengers who are no longer physically waiting in line have more time to visit restaurants and shops, boosting airport concessionaire revenues." | w13ken
30/6/2021 15:44 | New RNS late in the day: Long Path Partners, headquartered in Stamford Connecticut, appear to have been buying again and have increased their holding from 8.4% to 10.4% :-) "Long Path Partners is a privately-owned investment firm that seeks to compound capital by investing in a limited number of high quality, predictable businesses that we intend to own for the long term." | w13ken
30/6/2021 13:07 | Thanks for finding and posting that, W13Ken. Really interesting. There's no knowing, of course, what the uptake will be, but the opportunity here looks considerable. | aimingupward2
29/6/2021 17:19 | As for the addressable market, according to the Airports Council International (ACI) World Airport Traffic Report, there are currently 17,678 commercial airports in the world, in other words those which receive airliners, cargo and business aircraft. | w13ken
29/6/2021 16:59 | Accesso testing virtual queuing for Airport security. "Logan Airport officials declined to comment on how the pilot program is going, but Accesso Technology Group, Logan's virtual queuing technology partner, said that in a recent survey of users of the solution, 96% said that the virtual line helped make traveling less stressful." | w13ken
25/6/2021 12:20 | bisho4 - good to know thank you. Am in today. Will continue to watch and maybe add more later on. | dougmachin
25/6/2021 09:55 | Can't see any obvious reason for the drop, other than US tech headwinds, but the Director purchases in March (3 directors buying £75k, £75k and £100k) are a huge sign that they are confident in what is coming down the pipeline. Returning CEO Steve Brown (who has worked in Ticketing for Disney and Six Flags theme parks), already had nearly £4m worth of shares, and he bought another £100k. It seems unlikely he would do that for a quick 10% return. | bisho4
25/6/2021 07:10 | Some decent sized buys too after hours or delayed reporting yesterday. 50,000 *2 + 40,000 *2 @ 610p. 1.098 million quids worth. Unless they were exchanges, but I don't think so, not at 610p. Great point to enter or top-up right now IMO. | dougmachin |
