It looks like there's going to be a lot of helicopter money in the U.S. to help the sector. Right now, the travel industry is lobbying for a $250 billion package, and a hotel owner is in the White House.

I'd have thought people called mr hangman would want to turn the morgues into theme parks, not the other way round?

Actually all the ACSO staff are going to be reassigned to managing queues for toilet rolls and tins of baked beans - major new opportunities opening up :)

The UK government just announced a government-backed loan program of 330 billion pounds, equivalent to 15% of GDP. Per the details, if accesso needs any cash before attractions reopen, they can apply to the Bank of England to take the other end of the loan.

FY results tomorrow … and, in a volatile market, the share price has been poor. Can only hope for something better tomorrow.???

The last time we were at this price, mr. hangman was still an optimist.

Chinese businesses are re-opening now. That bodes well for the rest of the world's ability to return to daily life before summer. But the overall market would rather sell and think carefully about the actual level of lost commerce later...

In the U.S. on Friday, Six Flags and Cedar Fair rebounded 25% and 26%. Disney was up 11%. Ticketmaster's parent was up 18%. And the entire market shot up in the final hour when other markets were closed.

v may re-buy when Covid scare is over, but I don't think theme parks are likely to do well in the near future.

The substantial holders have been standing still, apparently: No new TR-1 forms since the end of the formal sale process. That's why there's some resiliency, relatively speaking.

Clearly everyone is watching the situation closely, but before we all get too gloomy wrt the coronavirus.

Just think what would happen to investor sentiment, if 1 of the large vaccine firms developed a cure (or at least was close to 1) for the disease?

Drug trials are already happening in the US.
