I think you may be reading way too much into this IMHO.
A company on the growth trajectory of Accesso needs to attract the very best talent to take the company forward in its next phase. Sometimes (and this is probably one of those cases) the incoming CEO is just a quantum step up from the existing CEO. Steve has done a fantastic job, but the new CEO is in a different league altogether.
This is indeed a fantastic appointment.
All IMHO of course.

IMHO this feels more likely to be a push otherwise even with precision succession planning there wouldn't have been someone immediately lined up and available, especially looking at the quality of the person coming in.

I think we need to remember at times just how rapidly the company is growing. As this happens the pool of people prepared to work for you widens. This looks a great appointment, I just feel sorry for Steve if he has indeed been pushed.
