07/7/2017 15:38 | goodapple...can you not see the 1k trade? ;) took some today myself...barring a summer meltdown, it looks a good buy point on the chart to me | gleach23
07/7/2017 15:16 | spud - Not topping up? | goodapple
07/7/2017 10:23 | Strange isn't it - theres a lot of moving money around I reckon at the moment as various quality companies are reporting and whilst summer is here little else is happening. I'm one doing just that using cash to trade "ahead of expectations" companies then moving onto the next one. Working really well to be honest. Having a folio up over June is quite nice and it also protects me from anything Trump might do ! The next ones reporting are DOTD RST ABC FEVR OTB | panic investor
07/7/2017 10:23 | Usual low volume drift imo. I'm guessing the next trading update will get things moving again. Speaking of, does anybody have a date for it? | from8to800
07/7/2017 10:15 | The current downward drift is a bit of a pain. Cannot see any particular reason for it. Thoughts welcome. Cheers, Martin | shanklin

01/7/2017 15:50 | Found the presentation, well worth a watch to see where we are going. | melton john
01/7/2017 15:29 | Exactly, I've thought they were expensive since they started as LOQ and the price went up quickly to about 75p. To paraphrase something I read the other day, I was wrong but the biggest mistake is to stay wrong. I watched a presentation by the CEO and it convinced me they had a lot left in the tank. I'll see if I can find it. | melton john
01/7/2017 15:29 | They are the main player with the best tech and about to move into a debt free situation - virtually a moat stock imho | panic investor
01/7/2017 15:06 | ACSO mentioned By Hargreaves L in a comment re rules on buying small caps; to the effect that the valuation is secondary. They sum up that while the company might appear expensive fund manager H Nimmo believes potential for growth ahead of expectations means acso is worth paying a premium for. | janeann

15/6/2017 14:29 | Sold out a month ago, just bought back in with 250. That's an extra 50 with the profit. Did well to sit on the proceeds till 30 days up. I think maybe others are waiting to buy back after crystallising a gain. WTFDIK. :-) | melton john

08/6/2017 03:24 | SeaWorld Orlando's newest attraction, opening 16 June, is set to feature a special queueing method: "SeaWorld is working on a system that allows guests to bypass standing in line for that attraction. The company gave few details Thursday. “We know that’s something that our guests want, to make sure they’re getting the most out of their day,” said experience design manager Erik Essig." | 1001011
07/6/2017 08:44 | Unintentional cause & effect: So by alleviating the boredom & inconvenience of having to queue, guests are becoming bored because they aren't queueing! I guess one out of two ain't bad..(now who sang that). It's now down the Park operators to figure out more activities which not only keep the punters happy by alleviating that boredom, but also add a second/third string revenue stream.spud | spud
07/6/2017 00:32 | Re: Volcano Bay, a number of visitors are getting bored during all the time they're not standing in line. Purely for the psychological benefit of the patron, perhaps the ideal queueless theme park will end up being a blend of virtual ride reservations and optional standby lines (to eat up time in between ride reservations). | 1001011
06/6/2017 14:46 | Tom Burnet has been scheduled to present at the "Megabuyte Quoted25 Public Company Showcase" on 29 June in the City. | 1001011
06/6/2017 14:29 | Very true Spud Has anybody heard the new wristband is doing at Volcano Bay please? The only negative comments I have seen were: - a comment that that the wristband did not tell the time - somebody moaning their wristband (the band itself not the device) broke twice whilst they were at VB | shanklin

02/6/2017 07:30 | In case anyone missed it, Hargreave Hale have increased their holding to above 10% to 2.252m shares: ACSO are also pushing their solutions for cultural attractions, museums etc with a new video: I missed this similar push for business in the casino sector: | rivaldo
01/6/2017 21:06 | Page 9: 2016 worldwide attendance was up 5.4% at Six Flags theme parks and 1.2% at Merlin theme parks. Page 26: "Big data helps uncover big revenue opportunities. It is a business maxim that it costs less to motivate existing customers to spend more, than to add new customers. Doing so also frees up cash flow for reinvestment, and in the attractions industry, continual reinvestment is the eternal driver of repeat business. Other operators are getting onboard the big-data train. Universal’s new Volcano Bay, for example, has a modern enterprise system with RFID technology that will support flexibility for guests entering and exiting and enable more data collection." | 1001011
29/5/2017 14:53 | Video link changed for Tom Burnett's presentation at ShareSoc Richmond Feb 17: (Sorry, website redesign means the link has changed!) | tomps2
26/5/2017 08:26 | The Tapu Tapu wristbands seem to be working well: "Technology comes into play as every guest is given a wristband, called Tapu Tapu, to utilize through out the park. Not only can you link a credit card to it to buy food, drinks, and souvenirs, etc. but also it essentially holds your place in line on the rides. Tap the band for a ride at the designated kiosk and the Tapu Tapu will "tap" you like an Apple watch does to alert you when it's your turn to ride. No more waiting in long lines, herded like cattle, in the heat for what seems like hours. Tap, go get some food, relax on a beach chair, wade in the wave pool, etc. and simply return to the ride when your wristband alters you that it is your turn. The only downfall I could find with the device is that it doesn't tell you the time." | rivaldo |
