Nope they are playing it close to their chest. The sale of non core assets yesterday gives some indication that they want to support their balance sheet and keep operations in TZ going.

Maybe when Barrick announce their next set of results they will update us.

Barrick Q4 and Year End report for last year was announced 15 February so I expect a similar timeframe.

Credit Agricole SA (ACA.FR) said Wednesday that it will submit a proposal to its shareholders in regard to withdrawing its loyalty dividend scheme after the European Central Bank ordered it to remove its loyalty dividend bonus clause by Sept. 2018.

The withdrawal comes after the European Banking Authority ruled that payment of a loyalty dividend by Credit Agricole constituted a "preferential distribution" in breach of the capital-requirements regulation.

Credit Agricole said that the European Central Bank agreed with the ruling and ordered it to remove the clause. The French bank will submit a proposal on the removal of the clause to a general meeting of shareholders to be held on May 16, 2018.

Only 6% of ordinary shares are currently eligible for the loyalty dividend, representing an additional payout of EUR10 million in 2016, the bank said. A special meeting for shareholders entitled to the dividend will take place on April 4, 2018, it said.

Credit Agricole added that it was considering compensating the beneficiaries.

Crédit Agricole suspends its enhanced dividend mechanism
Crédit Agricole (EU: ACA)
Intraday Chart of the Action

Today: Wednesday 20 December 2017
More graphics from the Crédit Agricole Stock Exchange
(CercleFinance.com) - Crédit Agricole announces the suspension of its premium dividend mechanism in order to reward the loyalty of its shareholders, at the request of the European Central Bank (ECB) confirming an analysis of the European Banking Authority.

The latter has indeed considered that the payment of a dividend increased by the banking group to its shareholders constitutes a 'preferential distribution' that does not comply with the Capital Requirements Regulation.

Crédit Agricole will implement the ECB's request by proposing to the general meeting planned for May 16, 2018 the deletion of the statutory clause. The study of a compensatory measure for eligible shareholders is under way.

(Boursier.com) - Crédit Agricole has made the decision to accelerate its role in the energy transition, setting new goals, detailed last night in a statement.

The bank will, for example, set up 100 billion euros of green financing by 2020 in the world, which amplifies its commitment to COP21, which reported 60 billion euros by 2018. These operations will be carried out by CA CIB via Green Bonds (bonds) and Green Loans (credits). In addition, its French network plans to double the level of financing for renewable energies, ensuring that one project out of three will be linked to this theme or to energy efficiency by 2020. The establishment has also committed to integrating the climate dimension to assess the risk profiles of its major customers and their projects.

Regarding the financing of polluting projects, a slightly clearer guideline has been set. Crédit Agricole now excludes "the least efficient hydrocarbons on an energy plan and the most impacting for the environment". The bank renounces all oil sands projects, all oil from the Arctic region (offshore and onshore), gas or oil shale whose operation causes excessive flaring or evaporation and infrastructure mainly dedicated to these exclusion sectors. In addition, the group is committed to offsetting all of its direct carbon footprint through 2040 through the Livelihoods Carbon Fund.

Crédit Agricole recapitalize BforBank

Crédit Agricole recapitalize BforBank

(Boursier.com) - Crédit Agricole will inject 120 million euros into its online bank BforBank, which is far from having fulfilled the objectives that had been set for its creation in 2009. The project "cringes in the regional banks ", write 'Les Echos', which owns 85% of the capital. Before the new capital increase, the green bank and its caisses had already invested 170 ME in the project. The National Union of Crédit Agricole (Sneca) proposes that BforBank go back to Crédit Agricole SA, which has the remaining 15%. The financial newspaper even quotes a statement from the Sneca of the Caisse Provence Côte d'Azur calling the local bank not to participate in the fundraising (1.9 ME up to its share) for this entity perceived as entering competition with certain activities of the caisses and whose objectives are constantly being pushed back.

BforBank currently has 180,000 accounts but hoped to have 250,000 by 2015. The slider was set at 350,000 in 2021, by which time the online bank wants to become profitable.
