Well I don't mind admitting I'm in at 2.95 and therefore sat on a substantial "paper" loss! Am I bothered, do I look bothered. No but am I bothered...:-))! Actually nope...I don't feel too battered by the experience. In my mind these shares could go as low as £1.20-1.30 but it just pushes the timelines out by a few months for a recovery. I feel around about 1000% on that. I will never sell a dime even if Tanzanian assets need to be seized to pay Acacia back what has been stolen:-)! but....it wont't come to that guys.. chillax ;-). Barrick is very experienced and has survived over 2 decades of similar nonsense in Africa. He da man to sort this!:-)

Big test coming. My guess is when it breaks £2 it will fall quickly to £1.80.
Get out while you can lol

DRC, Zimbabwe,Zambia,Tanzania. I'm sure there are many more that have had problems with governments in Africa for mining companies. Anyone wanting exposure to mining should look at SXX. Potentially a world class mine and being built here in good old UK.IMO

By September it will be known if they have to shut their main mine down ie if dispute has been resolved. Then valuations can be made more accurately on their remaining operational mines

No pleasure in it mate. Sickens me that as usual p.i. s get burnt. Another decent company on its way down. Only question is how far. The profit they have/can make is good so there is a lot of value there, just too much risk right now. Guessing game as to where the bottom is.

edjge2,
Not sure if that caused the fall but it was reported last week there had been arrests and expats were being sent home. Definitely sounds dodgy and wouldn't be surprised if there is a buyout, possibly by Chinese as they are very active in the region and known to be 'friendly' to governments. All my own opinion and mostly guesswork. Good luck all

I would consider investing at 100-150 at this rate of collapse

Expats sent home, was that the stimulus for the big fall friday pm bsquirrel?
Shorters making big bucks. Just waiting myself. This will bounce but dive again. I think bsquirrel sums up the scenario. Govmnt may want to buy out whole thing at lowest price.

Lol not short here mate. Hope your right but with the expats being sent home I see that as a sign that this company is about to be raped by the government

Sorry to be harsh yet I get a feeling one or two shorters are writing here...I'm invested to enjoy a stonking recovery as negotiations & concessions play out - 2 big to fail in my view :)

I think the only support is from p.i.'s hoping for a miracle. Most of the smart money is long gone. Below £2 today imo

looking at the chart 200 or 180 might be entries but with further bad news this likely to slice through those.
