03/8/2009 15:18 | blimey that IS naughty! has anyone managed to find anything out about it yet?? ie are they buying us out although it does show as a divi. | 99damo
03/8/2009 15:05 | Good work glad you got that resolved nice little brucie bonus. Yeah I wonder if they would have volunteered that without a big prod from you!? | pelleeds1980
03/8/2009 15:00 | at last my div has arrived. I am not sure Hopeless Brennan were telling me the whole truth and nothing but the truth last week .... having told me that they had sent it to my jarvis account last week, it arrived into my bank account, by CHAPS, today.....naughty little fibbers..... | jamie62
29/7/2009 16:41 | thanks - the divi is still in transit from Hoodless to Jarvis .... amazing considering it was received into my Hoodless account on the final day before the transfer to Jarvis, but was not picked up. Finding anyone to talk to is quite difficult (the trouble with online I guess)..... | jamie62
29/7/2009 14:26 | Jamie cheers for your advice I hope your divi turns up Many thanks | pelleeds1980
29/7/2009 14:06 | you have not missed the deadline, it is just that you will be filing late. this takes you into penalty territory (when I last looked it was £100) but probably only if you owe them money. if you are a PAYE basic rate payer it is unlikely that your dividend income would require you to pay extra tax. so probably no tax to pay but you will register your losses. | jamie62
29/7/2009 13:46 | Ok just checked ive obviously missed the deadline for Apr 2007 - Apr 2008, I know that ignorance is no defence with those guys so can you advise on my approach with them (not talking big beer on divis received but could do with maintaining any losses I made in that period to use going forward) Thanks for any advice | pelleeds1980
29/7/2009 13:33 | HMRC may well ask you to do an assessment of your income from interest and dividends and then collect any tax due through amending you tax code, rather than to do a full tax return. | jamie62
29/7/2009 12:09 | I think there's a box on the tax return to enter your dividends. Normal UK dividends come with a 10% tax credit which means there's no additional tax to pay if you're a basic rate taxpayer (there is extra if you're on the higher rate). The ACMH divi is gross so there will be tax to pay on this. | ajnmx
29/7/2009 10:59 | Yeah I got the full 7p through Forgive my huge ignorance but with normal dividends do I need to do anything with respect to HMRC and tax? I have never filled out a tax return but I do have some tax losses Ill need to report from last year and now this year | pelleeds1980
29/7/2009 10:58 | Very odd... mine doesn't say any of that! No tax deduction for me, I got the full 7p per share. I tried emailing the co to try to find out what this dividend is but there has been no response. I have noticed the main acmh website has changed though in the last week but no info there. The xanthus site hasn't had the fund performance updated since April, hardly a sign of a thriving business. I think they've just called it a day. | ajnmx
28/7/2009 23:10 | I'm fairly sure that there's no tax credit because there has been no deduction. As a Cayman registered company there's no corporation tax. The dividends are paid gross. It says on my payment advice "investors resident in the UK will have to include the full amount of the dividend in their tax return". It was a "payment advice", not a "tax voucher". Did yours say "tax voucher"? | ajnmx
28/7/2009 09:23 | The tax voucher confirmed that there was no tax credit attached to the dividend - so that numpty Brown gets the full 40% .... | jamie62
27/7/2009 19:52 | You received a tax voucher? I didn't, div was paid gross. I thought it was because it's a foreign company. | ajnmx
27/7/2009 17:33 | Has anyone else had their account with sharecrazy and had it transferred from Hoodless Brennan to Jarvis. This happened on 24 July, but no sign of this dividend being received and then transferred, although I have received the tax voucher today. | jamie62
27/7/2009 17:03 | Yep cant argue though 2.8 times the tender price? Seems bizarre doesnt it but what a great surprise | pelleeds1980
27/7/2009 16:37 | Excellent news. Mine's a cheque and I was worried it might bounce but if you have the cash it should be ok. No way though that things could have picked up so dramatically since the tender offer. Yet again with this company there's the whiff of something untoward. | ajnmx
27/7/2009 16:23 | Bingo just checked my account and ive received my divi 7p a share completely made up with this! Communication from them has been sh1te but glad this has come in I could use the cash Well done all for not giving in at 2.5p | pelleeds1980
27/7/2009 12:49 | Ex div date was well after 3 Feb, I bought mine in June. I don't know anything, but it would be my guess that they've called it a day and this is the end of it all. Very strange though (they did call it an interim dividend). | ajnmx
27/7/2009 11:25 | Well this would be an epic turnaround I dont think theyd pay cash out for no reason, to be honest only had a small amount in there but at quite a low level so 7p would be nearly 3 times what I paid for them Do you know when the ex-div date was I first bought ACMH on 3rd Feb 2009 Many thanks | pelleeds1980
27/7/2009 11:22 | somtimes takes a day so to register on your main balance with some accounts, mine shows up on the cash transactions section as funds received. Or maybe you have a cheque on route! | 99damo |
