03/6/2011 10:48 | I think it must be early July with payment end of July. Aberdeen don't seem very helpful or good at publishing dates. NAV is £1.63 so could be worth adding! | plasybryn
02/6/2011 17:36 | When is the next ex div date? Chart looks positive - 20 moving back over 50 day MA | plasybryn
02/6/2011 14:40 | Another high. Accumulated income is doing well. It is higher than this time last year - although only about 2 weeks ahead. Could just be timing of payments but it would be nice if the company could start making noises about increasing the payout next year. | aleman
31/5/2011 12:02 | New high for NAV, I think, at 162.6p. Could be over 164p at today's close if things hold. Share price should be over 10% higher for a normal discount. | aleman
25/5/2011 15:06 | NAV has remained remarkably static just over 160p recently. | aleman
19/5/2011 09:47 | Aberdeen Smaller Companies High Inc 160.71p NAV 17 May | davebowler
06/5/2011 19:19 | I think they used to look at buy backs when the discount went over 10% but I haven't seen it mentioned for a while (unless I am confusing with SDV). It has traded at a premium in the past so I doubt it is down to not being well known. | aleman
06/5/2011 15:53 | Quite a big discount. Do they have a strategy to manage the discount? Is it large due to the stock not being well known? | plasybryn
05/5/2011 11:34 | Interesting. Ta, DB. On small caps more broadly, strong balance sheets could lead to increased acquisition activity in the sector later this year, he adds. Been watching for this for a while. I think all the constant doom and gloom spin in the media is making directors wary of making acquisitions - except for management buy-outs/delistings! Getting hands on cashrich companies at modest prices seems tempting enough for themselves where they don't have to worry about the shares subsequently falling in another downturn. | aleman
04/5/2011 08:58 | Looks to have changed direction. Bit of catching up to do with NAV at 162p. | aleman
30/4/2011 06:55 | Crazy price, nice entry point for new ISA holders to come on board. | crawford
28/4/2011 17:01 | FT-SE SmallCap index up 0.9% today so the discount will probably still be over 20% tomorrow. | aleman
28/4/2011 14:05 | I agree the discount is much too high -especially compared to Acorn -AIF and Smaller Cos Div -SDV both similar in their aims. | davebowler
28/4/2011 13:54 | With today's small cap rises added to yesterday's NAV over 160p, the discount probably went over 20% today before the shares started to move up. That's takeover territory. | aleman
27/4/2011 11:56 | With today's market's modest market rise and fall in the share price, discount is now nearly 20%. NAV has recovered the dividend already and is back to pushing for a new high. Crackers. | aleman
27/4/2011 10:36 | So since its changed its name are we expecting the shareprice to crash through the floor and the discount nav to get sillier by the day? Jeez wind it up imo. | envirovision
21/4/2011 12:20 | Turns out discount yesterday was 18.1%. Still too high. | aleman
21/4/2011 09:22 | Aberdeen Smaller Companies 19 Apr NAV 157.23p | davebowler
20/4/2011 13:53 | Oh, dear. Shares down today with market up strongly. Current discount up to around 19%, I reckon. | aleman
19/4/2011 13:06 | AIF looks good too - and less volatile, plus an outside chance of winding up later this year. | davebowler
18/4/2011 23:38 | UK firms are set to pay out £64.2bn in dividends this year, up 13.6% on 2010, research by Capita Registrars suggests. | aleman
17/4/2011 10:04 | I like the discount/premium chart - very useful. | lizafl |
