Unbelievable,I just bought 4000 shares on the back of that recommendation, remind me to never believe what you read.(will hold them for a year anyway,my broker charges an arm and a leg to deal.)

Yes, I noticed that. A really basic error. Unbelievable really given the whole premise of the article was inaccurate. Quality control? Sounds like no checking of articles is done.

Yield only about 2%. Don't believe IC this weekend - they got it wrong (said it was 7.3%).

Poor performance this year from Hugh Young.And no one has bothered to add the 2014 annual report to the trust website.Has anyone any further information to indicate wider failures recently at Aberdeen?

NAV discount down at 9% again, and share price nudging slowly up to test prior all time highs; therefore potential for combined break-out and narrowing of NAV discount (subject to global markets not breaking down - which seems much less likely presently after the past few days' recovery).

India's GNP growth @ 8% pa + China's similar.
Only a global event can send this off-course, of course.

Scanjet - surely the key issue with this IT is it also invests in India. That's where this years excess growth has come from compared to other Far East IT / UT's.
Let's hope India (and China) keeps on track and gives us a happy New Year.

This IT invests in China - an increasingly massive global player. The price has just broken to new highs. Given the increasing strength and influence of the Chinese economy and production this is one of the most relaxed rides around.

Dondee, I am thrilled by investment trusts. The higher the gearing, and the greater the cross holdings, the more I am thrilled. These tend to be undervalued (because there is a risk that on a downturn they will be wiped out) but this risk can easily be hedged away.
