Aberdeen City Council, in pursuit of achieving 2024/25 Budget decisions, confirms that it is issuing a Section 188 Notification under the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.

The Council submits the notice in relation to achieving an approximate 5% reduction in cost of the non-teaching staff workforce.  The number of staff currently estimated to be covered by the notice is 3,287.

The necessary statutory notices are being provided to Trade Unions and Scottish Government today.
