22/3/2006 21:26 | THE BIGGEST EXPANDING COMPANY IN THAILAND AFTER BEING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY IS TESCO. ALSO THE PE RATIO IS FAR TO HIGH FOR THIS ONE.THIS IS NOT ANOTHER CHINA.CHINA HAS TO MANY MEN = WORK. THAILAND TO MANY FEMAILS = DON'T WONT TO WORK. DUMP IT OR SORT IT. | mark93

02/4/2004 14:18 | Nice move today on the back of news regarding someone holding 7 ish %. Any views on the lonbger term? | wwalbers
06/11/2003 11:45 | Probably wise. Sold mine too early in Sept. Just bought a few again - quite possibly unwise ;-o Hoping it still has legs for a few days more. Share price already up 125% this year. Guess I may get stung for being greedy. | m.t.glass
03/11/2003 16:22 | What the hell's happening to ANW?? It's now above NAV..... If I had stock I would definitely be profit taking today. | gsands
31/10/2003 13:26 | Up another 3p today. | dondee
27/8/2003 23:26 | When you say 'historically' do you mean over the last three years of a frantic bear market. If so then I can imagine investors during that period wishing to maintain a large margin of safety between it and the NAV. However with increasing confidence and widespread knowledge of the strength of the Thai markets it does not seem unreasonable that it could track closer than 15% and certainly closer than 30%. The ANW fund is one of the best most consistently performing funds out there primarily because the managers leave it alone and do not constantly change investments. It seems that just recently it has been over-exposed (listed last week as the 13 highest most consistant climber of the last 10 days - up there with the best of the equities) and it is possible that over last few days it got slightly ahead of itself. But the way this fund grows it won't be long before a greater margin opens up again. I think you've sold needlessly sugarbeast and may find yourself buying back in again soon. Its nice to have this tucked away in the back of your portfolio ticking along, sometimes up and rarely down. I find you forget about it and when you come back to it you think good grief, is it worth that already. A nice tonic to all those wildly up and down equities we so love to dabble in! | guysands
27/8/2003 21:12 | it is absolute madness that at 40p it traded on a 30% discount, and is now on a 7% discount up at £1. I sold out today,as I think it is historically overvalued. | sugarbeast
27/8/2003 20:01 | Historically the discount to NAV has been at or merely 15% ... clearly a lot less than that now. | lizzie ii
27/8/2003 18:11 | Lizzie II - do you mean whilst the NAV stands at 1.07p the mid price is only 99p? I've wondered about that myself. Sign of a cautious market I suppose. When we get into full bull mode (if) then it will probably track at over NAV... | guysands
27/8/2003 15:08 | Wwalbers .... true ... but of late .... the discount to NAV has also been falling. Discount now much lower than it has been historically. | lizzie ii
27/8/2003 12:41 | I'm a new customer and very pleased. Where is it going do you think? | guysands
27/8/2003 09:29 | As a long term holder these will essentially track the Thai index if you look at the performance graph over the years this is what it does. | wwalbers
19/8/2003 09:23 | excellent performance by anw recently. this is my longest ever holding, having bought initially in 1998! | sugarbeast
16/7/2003 14:33 | OK the underlying asset value keeps going up ...... but as the discount to NAV appears to be getting smaller .... is that the only reason why this keeps going up? | lizzie ii
20/11/2002 19:21 | discount now very big...hopefully the big seller was finished today. thailand is certainly one of the cheapest stockmarkets around. | sugarbeast
06/11/2002 11:26 | Starting to climb nicely again. Thai economy looking stronger ... confidence returning. | lizzie ii
20/8/2002 09:47 | No trades again! | jl202
12/8/2002 13:12 | Damm why didn't I listen to you Zen ;) | jl202 |
