01/3/2002 16:40 | That's useful, thanks. SET up another 2.38% today. Now standing at 380.65. | lizzie ii
01/3/2002 10:11 | There's a technical analyst from Tisco who writes for the bangkok post on mondays. He seems pretty switched on: he's been negative on the nasdaq for 2 years. He reckons the SET should hit 500 to 550 this year. It's certainly had a good recent run, up to 380 now. BTW he also reckons Nikkei will hit 18,000 this year or next!!! | abthow
27/2/2002 14:05 | Not surprising this is up again today given the greater than 4% jump today in the SET. | lizzie ii
21/2/2002 00:39 | your maj, statistics can be made to prove anything, and i am sure you are right. i didn't look carefully at my last post,it was just from memory. i think i'm right in saying that the set was at 260 in nov,and 370 now. ie a 42% rise. anw shares were at 38 in nov,and 51 now....a 38% rise.not hugely significant, but given that the company is supposed to be buying back shares and the discount has widened appreciably,i expected better. | sugarbeast
21/2/2002 00:11 | Sugarbeast, just checked the facts on TrustNet. In the last year the SET has risen 17.9%, the ANW NAV has gone up 27.5%, and the ANW share price has risen 32.9%. The ANW performance is also better than SET over 3 months, 6 months, 3 years and 5 years. Incidently whilst the SET has gone up 34.6% in the last 3 months, still lots more to come IMHO. | lizzie ii
15/2/2002 11:43 | anw seems to be underperforming the index. thats quite an achievement by aberdeen who have been content to sit on their portfolio for years. i would love this to be wound up so that i could participate fully in the thailand rally. your vote counts at the agm. | sugarbeast
13/2/2002 13:40 | SET closed today up 2.35%. | lizzie ii
08/2/2002 13:22 | nav over 60p;discount solidly over 15%. | sugarbeast
08/2/2002 10:10 | SET index up another 2% today. More good news for the NAV of this Trust. | lizzie ii
06/2/2002 09:07 | SETI just broken 346 major resistance level. up virtually in a straight line from 269 thats a 27% gain for both indexes in a month. Looks set to stage a very swift jump to 380 then on to 440. 0.005% spreads on a tmbt3 ac. currently at 22.08. aioho. | zen_
06/2/2002 09:04 | SET index up 1.4% today. This company's NAV destined to go higher and higher. | lizzie ii
31/1/2002 14:34 | the discount on this is still greater than 15%,leading me to believe that it could be wound up at the agm.i certainly hope so. | sugarbeast
23/1/2002 09:11 | Not long before these hit 50p ! Up 1.25p ..... and not even any deals yet ! | lizzie ii
16/1/2002 20:35 | The underlying NAV just goes up and up ! Tuck a few of these away for a good steady return, based upon a recovering Thai economy. DYOR. | lizzie ii
16/1/2002 13:40 | biggest volume today for almost 2 months.wow. | sugarbeast
14/1/2002 11:52 | and again - 11 straight sessions now. 325.66 +3.11 | zen_
12/1/2002 00:21 | up yet again. 10 straight sessions of gains. Gain of 1.04% up nicely into the 320;s. | zen_
10/1/2002 09:59 | another gain today for the SET50. Interesting intraday activity. The index has gone up every single trading day since december 27th which makes it the 9th day in the row that the index has risen. There have also been only 2 down days since December the 19th. | zen_
09/1/2002 17:51 | JUST for those interested in directly getting the benefits of likely substantial rise ahead of the SET50 index, TMB now offer a method of directly investing in the SET50 index with spreads of only 0.02%. No limits. We routinely invest 1-10 million baht. The account is TB3, and has only one drawback and that is that it all orders are on end of day prices only. However longer term investors will see that intraday there is relatively small movement. The SETI is not as easy to get a good deal on, but the SET50 makes up a bulk of the SETI and moves broadly in line with it, if not outperforming slightly. We were buyers at 268, 274 and 296. The index is poised to head to 342 then 381 fairly swiftly according to a number of domestic analyists. There are a number of pundits calling 550 or even 650 - a near doubling. On fundamentals many of the big caps are oversold and the currency is cheap at 44.08 per USD. aioho. | zen_
09/1/2002 14:46 | with nav near 55,the discount will have to narrow soon or else this fund could be wound up. lets hope the discount widens! | sugarbeast
09/1/2002 11:58 | Up another 1.5p today, even without any deals ! | lizzie ii
04/1/2002 09:31 | Sugarbeast, the SET index is doing very nicely at the moment and the performance in this company is better than SET anyway. One to lock up and watch grow slowly. I think investors will return in bulk one day but the troubles of the banking sector need to be more sorted before they do. | lizzie ii
29/8/2001 18:00 | As I predicted nearly 2 weeks ago the NAV is climbing nicely, helped by good performance of the SET index in BKK ! | jline
16/8/2001 17:07 | Today's repurchase of shares should do wonders for the NAV per share ! | jline |
