What aboutthe pref shares in issue, two types, i have the misfortune ? of holding a few. I think the directors may hold some . No divs paid for years , and unsaleable/no quote.

with 1.3m shares out, there aren't too many shareholders to worry about all v suspect one SSQ3 MM 50 / 65 tomorrow it'll be down again

well with only 1,310,000 shares in issue and just 2 MM's operating.....I'm sure that it would have been very hard to get any quantity...!!

By the time you buy and sell from yesterday price, you will be left with doubling your money. Still good, but not as good as it looks. I hope you managed to get some double6. Pitty my mum can not since she is away on holiday till Sunday.

mr_chaps the same thing happened to ARA last week... It was trading at 9p the next morning it opened at 4.5p & then closed at 10p & then they announced bids & currently sits at 16p.... Its a crooked market out there but you can make a packet if you get into em at the right price which most don't myself included. Be lucky to all

Surely they're going to have to put out an RNS to keep shareholders up to date with whats happening. If not this looks like a case of insider trading if news comes out a few days after a rise like this.

pension news should be out very soon .and remember there is not that many shares around, so as soon as we get some news the share will be going north

only because wins have been messing around with the spread which is normally a sign they don't want to deal because they are short. Recently you should have seen the holding in company announcement where a major shareholder increased their holding by 5%. If you do your homework you will find this person is on the board of asbe's operating company BPE. BPE's customers are in the oil services industry so should be having a good time, but perhaps even more importantly we may be very close to a pensions settlement. perhaps this director expects this to leave ASBE on a very very low PE.
