Ariana Resources Takeover Rumours (AAU)

I don't like the dilution (especially at today's SP, albeit it could have been worse last month at 1.7p) and would have far preferred to see the acquisition done half in cash (from either reserves or borrowings especially since Tavsan will be throwing off cash shortly) and only half through newly issued equity. That would have ensured newly motivated board members and equity holders without the potential danger of a reverse takeover - it wouldn't cost the Rockover management a huge amount to buy 12.5% - 13% of AAU's equity and take effective control

Just as important as the takeover cost is how the mine will be funded. You big shareholders need to hold Kerims feet to the fire re dividends.

Hi Rennicks, hate to disagree but in my opinion there is no chance Newmont would be interested in AAU. Sonce their takeover of Newcrest they are thought to be reviewing their assets with a view to diaposal of some that we would think of absolutely enormous. The small.projects contained within AAU would not be of any interest to them, so unless they would take AAU over just for some of the key employees I think it unlikely to say yhen leaste8
