23/1/2008 08:27 | You certainly put the kibosh on that, topvest | call-logger
22/1/2008 23:16 | Is it only me, or are the real estate share price movements today totally bizarre. Worst markets in a couple of years and certain real estate stocks have gone through the roof! MKLW is the best example..what is going on? | topvest
09/1/2008 22:50 | Is no one day trading this share? It is quite illiquid,so the savvy trader can make good money here.MKLW have lots of new units to let as well as others under construction. We have to wait and see how they react to the rate increases for un-rented buildings that will be introduced in the spring,April???? A very exciting share IF you have the guts....the share price rises and falls can be very dramatic! DYOR and LOL AMLA | amla
31/12/2007 09:40 | Bought and sold a few over the last few days. Long term this is a good buy, but still in downtrend at the moment, so thought I would bank a small profit and try again in a few days. | topvest
04/12/2007 22:05 | 4 years off the share price in a few months. 6% yield starting to look interesting. Another 10% off the price and I'm in for some more. 7% yield and discount to NAV of about 50% (by then) will be too good to miss! | topvest
29/11/2007 14:21 | MKLW is one of my favs along with FCPT, UKCM and LAND. I much prefer the lowly geared REITs. I thought share price spiked up too much and became relatively expensive. Now looks much better value. :-) Waiting on the sidelines. | not manu
27/11/2007 11:11 | ex dividend 28 November.Apologies! Chart not looking too good and with all the negative sentiment in this sector plus all the other turmoil in financial markets,I have a feeling that MKLW might drop below recent support.Probably best to sit on the sidelines for a while. | amla
26/11/2007 20:59 | exactly. MKLW is a great defenisve stock. Unfortunately, as with all property stocks they have a post-bubble hangover. I'm close to being a buyer again. Just waiting for signs that the share price bottomw has been reached. This company has raised its dividend every year for 30+ years. It's very solid! | topvest
26/11/2007 16:43 | Impressed with the website. Nearly most of their properties are rented out or contracted for future rental. The majority of their holdings are warehouses and factory units.Shops and offices are rented at good rates and provide a steady income too. Most of the property is new, located near to good road services and in the right areas. Gearing is incredibly low at 7%.Tomorrow it goes ex dividend for 8.04p.Hopefully the share price will bounce off recent lows.If it does'nt,I shall be very disappointed. A well run company that increases divis and has a strong income from rentals. Why has Merrill Lynch got them as a sell?Even if the stockmarket collapses I can't see MKLW's rental income suddenly disappearing overnight. With their low debt they could ride out any medium term storm knowing that their properties are modern and easy to rent when the economy picks up again. | amla
27/10/2007 08:16 | Hi GB and tv Yes, we seem to be fairly safe from rampers on this board: 19 posts in 4.5 years :-) | westcountryboy
26/10/2007 19:28 | Yes, something seems to be going on - that's quite a rise over the last few days. | topvest
26/10/2007 12:24 | Hi wcb I don't normally post here but seeing as I know you from "the other place"... ;-) I have a few of these and was thinking exactly the same thing. Discount narrowed from 30% to 20% in a matter of days. And while other real estate shares have if anything been going backwards. Intriguing. The AGM is 13 Nov, so if there is anything afoot we should perhaps know by then. Gb | glassboy
26/10/2007 08:03 | Something going on here? Seems rather friskier than most property stocks... | westcountryboy
13/10/2007 15:17 | Starting to look good value on a 5% yield and 30% discount to last reported net assets. Might be tempted to add some more soon. | topvest
05/9/2007 08:55 | Colonel A ...as you say look beyond the headline....NAV 445p (431)..Div up & statement says "extremely positive" !! share + 5p but now all-square. Just wrong sector @ the moment... | omerta
05/9/2007 08:04 | Pretty negative headline for what I read as a positive set of results. Does the market agree ? | colonel a
04/9/2007 10:17 | Lots of pre-results purchases, myself included. The fall does look to be overdone, even given the general poor sentiment for property. And it seems to me that the company is taking a decent long term position. | colonel a
11/10/2006 17:48 | Ah well - back to the drawing board. How about this one - when it's sunny - sell, when it rains, buy ;-) | inod
09/10/2006 18:25 | LOL! Better than some trading strategies, I'm sure :-) | call-logger
09/10/2006 16:13 | some late buying again near close of play. What do we do, buy them in the morning and sell them at 4:29pm? | inod
06/10/2006 22:05 | Something happened late afternoon here? | topvest
08/9/2004 10:56 | Simon Disappointing that MKLW are not replacing their older assets which are and have been sold.I had hoped that with a new MD that the Company would move to a more adventurous outlook but it is not to be.I have a high regard for MKLW as I have held the shares for nearly 20 years but is really an income stock. The share price is probably 10% overvalued but this probably represents the Petchey stake and the fewer property stocks still quoted. It will be interesting to hear the Board,s comments at the AGM on the Petchey situation. Last time the Company bought back the shares but to buy 13% would make the shares very illiquid. kind regards Linhur | linhur
07/10/2003 21:28 | It may be at a discount, but not many companies deliver in the long term like Mucklow. IMO it will be a shame if they feel that going private is the way to go as they are a great company...one of the best! | simonevans |
