15/3/2021 12:50 | Yes, good read Winston thanks. If further consolidation is on the cards and the big players look to M & A to grow, the number 10 in the market must be an attractive suitor. The founders turned down a bid of £3 a few years back. What would tempt them now? £4.50? | makinbuks
13/3/2021 19:00 | Thanks Winston, a very interesting week ahead. | peaeff
11/3/2021 20:32 | A good read here | winston81
09/3/2021 09:03 | 360p on 18th march hopefully | finkie
05/3/2021 10:55 | The trading updates issued throughout the year have been extremely positive and have clearly indicated a record year all round. In my experience most companies will err on the side of caution when making forward looking statements with trading updates and, it leaves me to believe that when the figures are released there could yet be a large upside to what is expected by the markets. Should this turn out to be the case I am hopeful that they may re-introduce the special dividends of previous years. AIMO and not intended to influence. regards | peaeff
05/3/2021 09:45 | 888 2020 Results day announced for 18th March. After last trading update seemed positive news | winston81
03/3/2021 12:49 | Maybe with having strong links to Playtech already. Good understanding of each others businesses. Would like to speculate whether more in this than simple move but we'll see. DYOR [...] | winston81
03/3/2021 11:38 | Why the rise on a new director ? | arab3
26/2/2021 20:22 | No brainer really but either way healthy looking business. 888 in New Jersey already and below report hxxps://www.cardplay DYOR | winston81
26/2/2021 17:39 | Sands sizing up 888? Per the rumor mill, Las Vegas Sands is said to be mulling whether to acquire online operator 888 Holdings. Details are scant, but a few quick thoughts. First, and as MGM's failed bid for Entain showed, 888 won't come cheap. Second, US market access would be a challenge-but not an insurmountablehttps: | coxsmn
23/2/2021 21:24 | A couple of interesting articles. Collaboration with playtech for one and huge rise in online gambling at backend of 2020. DYOR hxxps://www.casinobe | winston81
23/2/2021 11:50 | shame its pulled back from 320p to current price, will make the bid look better when it comes! | finkie
22/2/2021 16:20 | I see 888 is on the IG list , maybe forcing some to liquidate positions. | its the oxman
22/2/2021 15:41 | Put my chips down on the wrong stock maybe, Entain up and this sinking under 309p. Early days , but come on 888. | its the oxman
15/2/2021 19:12 | Coxsmn I was unable to open the article in 13110 but I have now found it and read it for myself. I apologise for my posting but it was never meant to criticise but more to satisfy myself of their credibility. The article does just that/ regards | peaeff
15/2/2021 16:59 | Peaeff, It's already been speculated in press re Sands (see post 13110). It's also been published DK could be interested in acquiring a European asset and have 1bn+ cash to spend. Otherwise all imho. DYOR Ps please ignore me if you don't like my opinion. | coxsmn
15/2/2021 14:08 | Coxsmn Would you like to confirm to this thread that these prophesies of bids are purely speculation on your behalf, as they tend to give the impression of insider knowledge. regards | peaeff
15/2/2021 11:23 | Bid by Sands and/or DraftKings likely. They might wait to hear the outcome of the UK gambling review. | coxsmn
11/2/2021 15:58 | A bid is a near certainty Oxman, when it appears and whether the owners will sell are the only unknowns. 888 is a bitesize acquisition for a US leisure company, great brand and even more importantly great prop tech. | rimau1
11/2/2021 14:54 | Just bought in and hoping I haven't been sucked in at the high and that US opportunity is really a game changer. Never buy for the bid they say but I'd sure be happy to see that as well. Reasonable chance is it not? | its the oxman
06/2/2021 19:22 | Despite very bullish recent updates, and the share price having settled around current levels, I am strongly of the opinion that the end of year figures will be a pleasant surprise to everyone. I felt the last paragraph of the update "We are mindful" etc. was a ploy to play things down a bit. Will they pay a special dividend. Maybe! I would like to think that any bid would start with the figure 4. AIMHO regards. | peaeff
06/2/2021 14:59 | Finkie My view is that the current multiple of around 16x is pretty undemanding given the strong returns which 888 generates. I also think the current market forecasts for the next couple years will need to be revised up materially. The rapid growth has happened (I got in at 109p last year thankfully!!) but I still think there's 20% or so p.a. to be made from here, though a mixture of earnings growth and multiple ticking up a little more. M&A is obviously upside. Adam | adamb1978
06/2/2021 06:27 | Good luck all long term holders here been a ride from 320-80p last 3 years but back up now and hopefully a decent takeover premium to come.....any price predictions? I’m going for 385p. Cheers | finkie
