What seems odd to me is that this is pretty major news for 888 with the sports book in New Jersey and it didnt get an RNS, 888 are one of the first european gaming companies to do this, also if the rumours aboutt hem buying a controlling stake in Dunder.com are true i would expect an RNS on that so the next results good be interesting.

888 Holdings Plc
('888' or 'the Company')
888 launches sports betting in New Jersey
888 Holdings Plc, one of the world's leading online gaming and entertainment solutions providers, is delighted to announce that it has launched the 888sport brand in New Jersey. The launch marks the first time that 888 has offered sports betting to customers in the United States and paves the way for the Company to launch in additional U.S. states as future regulation allows.
888sport has been launched in New Jersey with Kambi, the Company's tier-1 sportsbook provider across global regulated markets and will offer customers a diverse selection sports markets to bet on across desktop, mobile and tablet devices. The launch complements the 888casino and 888poker brands already established in New Jersey with each product leveraging 888's powerful back-office systems, CRM and marketing capabilities to enhance the Company's return on investment. In addition, customers in the state will now be able to enjoy an unrivalled poker experience, a unique portfolio of casino games and a leading range of sports betting markets from a single login and bankroll.
As the New Jersey online gaming market continues to grow and develop, the launch of 888sport is the latest significant development for 888 in the state, and further strengthens the Company's relationship with Caesars Entertainment as it extends the scope of its partnership to now include sports betting. In recent months 888 has added approximately 200 new games to its New Jersey casino offering including, in August, the introduction of a significant new portfolio of Live Dealer casino games. In addition, in April the Company extended its unique inter-state poker network to include New Jersey, thereby enabling poker players across the three regulated U.S. states of Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey to compete with one another. To help spearhead the Company's continued expansion across the regulated U.S. online gaming market., Yaniv Sherman, 888's Senior Vice President, Head of Commercial Development, has relocated to the Company's New Jersey office from September.
Itai Frieberger, CEO of 888, commented: "The launch of 888sport.com in New Jersey is a major milestone for the Company in our ongoing expansion across the regulated U.S. online gaming market and provides 888 with a unique and truly multi-product proposition in what is currently the largest regulated U.S state.
888 has been committed to developing its position in the U.S. since launching in Nevada, the first regulated U.S. state, nearly six years ago and today we are the only operator with a presence in all three regulated U.S. states. We now have our sport, casino and poker products all operational in the U.S. and are continually developing our proposition, brands and technology to ensure that the Group remains exceptionally well positioned to capture the potentially significant future growth opportunities as new regulation allows."

Perhaps they have been too busy as per the rns.

888 have to be close to a deal.

Yeah if you look at graph it does look alarming, as you say a black run ski slope. Management have always pulled something out of the hat and I just hope they have the big bunny to pull re the states.
Just hope were not getting left behind and end up the drifting small fry.
Anybody looking for a good take out would probably get it now cheaper than the price 3 months ago!!!

Problem might by 888 uses a third party sportsbook. If they had done a deal with William Hill then could be in a stronger position. I can't decide if management our sitting on their hands or not with regard to being part of the market consolidation as still no deal to date.....

There is no such thing as a "buy" or a "sell" as every transaction has a buyer and a seller at either end. There is vast amounts of imo wasted effort trying to interpret these supposed buys and sells

In this technological age there is absolutely no reason why buys/sells can't be shown as such.
The only reason it's done is to let the city boys and MMs have their little piece of secrecy from the rest of us.
They don't want us having the same information as them.
It's like the RNS's that are released are not in plain English ie- Fred Bloggs has just bought 5mill shares that takes their holding upto 6%.
They make them as complicated looking as possible so when you read them you don't know if they have bought or sold !!
Childish but let me have their play so they can continue to think how superior they are to the rest of us mere mortals.

How low can this go ? The 140,986 trade today at 15:32:35 was a buy not a sell (Seen on Level 2). Obviously I've seen "Trade definitions are based on the mid-price and are indicative only" warning on ADVFN, but it seems pretty poor that in this day and age we are reliant on computerised guesswork. Any thoughts ?

Div is about 4.5% now but still priced at 15 times earnings. I bought last week but for me this is quite high risk because of the regulatory headwinds they face in Germany and I will average down if they fall down towards £2 which is about 12 times and in line with Hills. If you think 888 is priced in line with GVC clearly there is a expectation of a bid here which is part reflected. Surely 888 will get taken out or forced into a deal, feels like they are treading water. Got the platform just need the big partner. I don’t think it will be Hills though, both need a US partner although i’m sure if Hills came sniffing at a suitable price 888 would snap their hand off.

888 falling further behind...

According to city insiders, GVC governance is finalising plans on a long-term 50-50 joint venture with MGM Resorts, considered the US’ largest casino operator.

Both parties will commit an initial $100 million (£77 million) investment, in creating the joint venture which will seek to dominate the radically changed US gambling market post PASPA.

The alliance will see GVC act as the lead sports betting and online gambling services provider for MGM Grand, SkyLoft, Mandalay Bay and Bellagio casino properties.

A successful MGM-GVC partnership ‘could pave the way to a $20 billion merger’ as the two enterprises have agreed to buy-out commitments should the joint-venture succeed in dominating the liberalised US betting market.

Only just seen that news! Scrub my earlier comment on an 888 Hills tie up. Hills now has to go large and US large.
