04/11/2019 17:36 | Don't know why its fallen so steeply today, but you might ask why it rose so strongly recently. There was a £600k sell at 4:30 but the trend was well set by then. Family selling? No idea | makinbuks

26/9/2019 14:02 | Breaking news! 888sport is now one of the official sponsors of the Endesa League, Spain’s highest division of professional basketball. This partnership comes on the back of Spain’s impressive victory against Argentina in the final of FIB Basketball World Cup, [which featured 21 Liga Endesa players], and highlights how popular basketball is becoming in Spain. The sponsorship includes TV spots, Pitch LED advertising and online presence in the official web, app and social channels of the league. | oneillshaun
26/9/2019 09:59 | One of the main problems i can see, 888 still have a large founding family share holding and as most families do they value 888 with too high a Sentimental value. I still have my Teddybear from when I was 3 years old, to me I wouldn't sell him for £10,000, however the Teddy's true monetary value is not more than £5. | loganair
26/9/2019 09:44 | strange share this one It is just too small and buying on TO is always risky if the fundamentals are getting weaker. | trentendboy

11/9/2019 09:13 | Maybe the fool is a potential buyer, this from daily finance report today, -------'''' A cash machine? - My screening rules have identified another stock that’s unloved by investors and is struggling to deliver meaningful growth. Online gambling group 888 Holdings (LSE: 888) said today group revenue rose 2% to $277m during the first half of the year, but revealed its adjusted pre-tax profit fell by 36% to $27.1m. At first glance, this seems like bad news. Why would you invest in a business where profits are collapsing? However, I think the news isn’t as bad as it seems. One reason for the decline in profits was a $7m increase in gaming duties, mostly in the UK. This isn’t ideal, but it’s the same for all operators in this sector and isn’t a reflection of poor operating performance. Non-cash costs relating to acquisitions also depressed the group’s profits. Historically, this has been a highly profitable business, with strong cash generation. Today’s results show a net cash balance of $111m and no debt, highlighting the group’s financial strength. Return to growth? Revenue growth was weak during the half year, but the company is working to expand by launching in several new markets. It’s also boosting customer recruitment, which rose by 20%. 888 is going through a period of investment and consolidation. But management has left full-year guidance unchanged and analysts expect profits to return to rise by 11% in 2020. With the shares trading on 14 times forecast earnings, with a 5.7% yield, I believe this could be a good time to buy. | oohrogerpalmer |
