No-one will give GVC the firepower to take out 888 in 2019. After the director share sale everyone will want to see at least the H1 accounts - more likely full year.

No way would 888 shareholders accept GVC paper.

deanowls - i see one of two things happening, GVC take 888 out or 888 take a decent size company like LeoVegas.

Yeah the fine last year showed that didn’t it. I hold both and believe gvc will take out 888 at some stage.

Decent enough results, What's interesting is that online gaming is forecast to increase by nearly 50% over the next 4 years.
Doesn't matter what restrictions governments put in people will still gamble.
Not many industries can hope for even half that growth over 4 years.
Load up on these online companies whilst you can because prices won't be so low again as this year.

At moment market seems to like the results. Outlook on sales in Q1 (up 10%) doesn't seem to tie-in with broker forecasts showing a a reduction.

Cheeky marketing stunt by 888, they now get a ton of UK players on top of this deal for free.

That's better, should restore some faith in the industry especially as its getting battered from all sides at the moment.

Wont do the betting industry any good especially 888.
Can't believe that bets already on the books were not addressed.
888 must have known this would happen and it reflects badly.

btw the main products of 888 is not sports betting but online casinos but some poker/bingo. So yes they are impacted by the US Dept opinion on gaming I'm afraid...!
