10/1/2017 19:23 | I heard a brief snippet from the hearing for Attorney General and there was a question asked about repealing the internet poker legislation. The answer was avoided by Sessions stating that he had not researched it sufficiently. Anybody else heard anything about this or Trump's views? | rhcm
20/12/2016 09:44 | Hills are very slow to appoint a new CEO so this could all be connected with some sort of T/O or merger . | frankiethecabbie
20/12/2016 09:26 | Convinced the Hills have to do something and may now realise 888 is the only game in town if they want to get bigger and hence competitive | trentendboy
19/12/2016 09:12 | TO rumors kicking in I suspect | trentendboy
16/12/2016 16:43 | Increase Unlike the other companies mentioned here 888 Holdings is the company behind numerous online gambling brands like 888 Casino and 888 Poker. Although this is a different type of gaming it shares similar characteristics to non-casino developers. In fact, not all players on 888 brands play for real money. Some just enjoy playing casino games or testing their poker skills against others playing for virtual currency. The company saw a significant boost in value last year as their shares surged 17.4%. Apart from their B2C business, 888 also offers B2B model via their Dragonfish brand and this segment also contributed to the overall growth. Through Dragonfish partners of 888 have access to software solutions, marketing services, e-payment solutions, and more. Mobile Gaming on the Rise One thing that can be said for all companies mentioned here is that their mobile gaming segment experienced a significant boost. Players' interest in playing from their mobile devices is clearly on the rise and gaming companies need to keep up. All four mentioned here, especially Nintendo and 888, have accepted and adapted to this fact. 888 went as far as to create an instant play interface for their online poker offering accessible from every mobile device without the need for a downloaded app. The demand for mobile gaming is likely to increase in the years to come so we'll probably see more games following in the footsteps of Pokemon GO, offering exciting gaming experience without tying players to their consoles or even forcing them to go out there in search of an adventure. | jamesjoel
09/12/2016 08:33 | Zero Hedge reports that Congress is "busy moving forward with a proposal that would impose a Federal ban on online gambling". Why? Argument is that the campaigners are "paying off campaign debt" ... i.e. Adelson campaign donations.Article on 8 Dec entitled "Lame-Duck Congress Looking to Ban Online Ganbling", zerohedge.com | alex1621
18/11/2016 09:12 | Think Trump is in favour of gambling but not sure if he prefers bricks & mortar sites as opposed to online. | oohrogerpalmer
18/11/2016 08:16 | Both have strong US positions - that is the big unknown now. It is hard to see this hard line right wing government being particularly favourable to gambling of any sort. We shall see | trentendboy
17/11/2016 17:47 | Can't see what great benefit 888 would get from merger with WMH . Can understand WMH taking over 888 if they wanted to try again as this would give them the badly needed online presence. Would 888 be interested in somebody with a a lot of shops that may have future restrictions put on the cash cow machines that generate most of the high street profits!!! Then again mergers seem to be the way this industry is going and WMH may have a lot more to offer the likes of 888. Time will tell but it's funny how it appears the one industry governments hate is probably one that gives them high levels of tax and is currently outstripping most others in terms of growth. Hoping the new president will open Trumpland up to online gambling now that would really see the share price rocket. | oohrogerpalmer
17/11/2016 10:51 | Would be a good move. However, the major shareholder of 888 is holding out for a £3 per share valuation ... that might well prove a stumbling block. | alex1621
15/11/2016 21:47 | What's the possibility of a merger between William Hills and 888? | jamesjoel
