Me also still waiting for the excess to be returned.
Some of the delay must be due to that the over-excess will first have to be returned to BARC's from whoever was receiving the over-subscriptions etc., and maybe the holidays won't have helped to speed anything up.

As with you, langsider, I could be happily employing that excess elsewhere.

If Barclays would hurry up & return the portion of funds I lodged for my excess in the Open Offer which was unsuccessful I'd be using it to buy some more myself... How much longer to wait??!!

Interestingly, I was allocated 80.6% of the extra shares that I asked for.

That might vary with nominees gleach, if some had holders who didn't take up their entitlement. Presumably each nominee institution was allocated the open offer shares in full, plus the 16.961% on top of that? I've certainly had different percentages from 2 different nominees.

I thought anyone applying for excess got a tad under 17% fillipe? That's exactly what I got...

"Excess applications were oversubscribed and have subsequently been scaled back by a factor of approximately 83.034808516%"

Note that the 83.034808516 is approximate :o)

I got the basic, plus 27.11% of my excess request.

Cash often takes a short time to be returned....from whoever, I think.

Ditto, shares have been allocated by Barclays but cash from excess not successfully allocated hasn't been returned yet - not impressed.
