HOUSTON – ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP) today announced that Ryan Lance, chairman and CEO, will speak to investors and securities analysts at the Barclays CEO Energy-Power Conference in New York City on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 9:05 a.m. EDT.

This presentation will include an overview of the company's business strategies, key programs and projects, and plans for delivering production and margin growth.

This hopefully will touch on the polish plays tomorrow.

would you advertise a title you were "nearing the finishing line"..and use words like.."a sign that the shale gas explorer is headed toward the next chapter of development".......you don't use those words if they were unsure of success!!..links

NORTHLAND UK VIEW: Whilst far from conclusive there are some encouraging noises in this announcement. The well,
believed to be the largest horizontal test completed in Poland to date, is important not only to ConocoPhillips and
3Legs, as a vital indicator of the commercial potential of the basin, but to the Polish shale industry as a whole. The
meticulous drilling and completion campaign has gone well and with hydrocarbons now flowing back without nitrogen
assistance, the all-important flow rate over the next month or so will help determine the potential of the concession. A
commercial flow rate could be anything above 1.5mmcfd given further optimisation work and learnings that can be
expected to result from this well. We reiterate that this well result is subject to risk but that the company expects to
arrive at its key decision point with strong cash balances, making it a uniquely low risk entry into a possibly game
changing and late-stage opportunity. We maintain our BUY rating and 79p price target.

Spot on as usual, 3 legs is a winner for Sle . 12/13% fluid and 1 mil df is about right + oil .one might expect5/6+ plus per day. It's looking like those numbers. Genel is looking good, they must be near zone 1 , In the lap of the gods, who knows? If it's a hit, we could valued at 2 pounds a share. We own 1.2 mil acres adjacent to 3 legs, the price tag on Sle is mind boggling You are right on the money, it's a dream time for Sle, however Genel may not have a hit, so don't bet on it. If they hit, then we will zoom.

Thanks I saw that but looks like just puff to me. I don't think black smoke from flare suggests condensate just a lack of sufficent O2 to completely combust all hydrocarbons.

The flare looked small to me in the picture although nothing really to scale it by but also no additional pics have been posted which is a shame as you can't compare sizes without that.

I guess we just have to wait and see but recent price action although very small volume doesn't bode well.

they are talking of "initial results"..by what Oisin Fanning Ceo sle presentation the other week stating.."Here are some of the things he said (some were after the presentation).
BNK had technical problems with their horizontal frac in the Baltic basin, they did 18 fracs and missed the target in 9 of them. OF believes that they are getting flow from only one or two of the zones, but it is a good flow rate.
3legs/Conaco-Phillips look like they have a good result, based on whispers SLE have heard and from the flairing. OF was particularly pleased that you could see black smoke from the flaring, suggesting a good quantity of condensate as well as gas.
OF expects an announcement from 3legs fairly soon, within the next few weeks, maybe sooner.".........and from ceo 3legs we are in the best place!!..sometimes without pictures words say it all..atb .links

Links I'm happy to accept that but can you provide any evidence? Not seen a flare photo for a while and the company statements are "still testing - but we are hopeful".

I've seen little evidence to suggest otherwise yet.

log..even though they are still returning fluids there could be enough hydrocarbons flowing to call it commercial..there is gas and condensate..update soon by the reading!!cheers links

eh! He said in the article that they are still returning water which means they don't know what the flow rate is yet. To say its commercial at this point is jumping the gun to put it mildly.

Would be nice to get some balanced even comment on this board instead of just bullish posts making huge assumptions.

Cheers roscodagama, that article says to me that 3LEG's CP have a commercial flow from this well. The next milestone is the long term flow test. CP have a presentation this Wed (might be mentioned) and as 3LEG's are the junior partner any flow rate news will need sanctioning.... bet the share price will spike big once released.... I am hoping that it is up.. gla

3legs is a winner for 3legs and conoco and others will follow on imo. if they've already got 1 mill cu.ft a day with only 12% of stimulation fluid returned, that's a bonanza result ! I keep writing that imo this will flow far far more than the market expects and if bnk at 150k cu.ft for each successful stimulation stage is a gauge for the formation, then the 3legs 25 successful stimulation stages will be a commercial lateral, imo. if they get enough condensate, that could be commercial on it's own, with or without the gas. must be due an update on flow progress soon, especially if folks are hearing about numbers already. winner imo.
