At or around new highs recently.
Great company with excellent management IMO, but DYOR

Sold my holding in Pfizer. Buying 3i. Fantastic that the thread here is quiet, normally a great sign. Boring but exciting. GLA.

Simon has transformed group returns and that's an understatement.

Jersey - in PE, choice of investments in the first place is worth a lot!
Managers' delivery in presentations is quite unexciting - and take that as a compliment to them.

Not saying they aren't, but I don't imbue management with greatness because of good financials normally, but having said that this lot have done really well in the last 4/5 years

Q1 performance -

Strong, esp. Action (of course!).
NAV increases to 1,063p (12.2% tr over quarter) after rising from 804p to 947p in last (pandemic) year.
Premium fully justified.

brwo - you're on the 3i company thread, not Interactive Investor!

However, since you mention it, I agree. You can bypass it by using the rescue code, but I think all brokers will need to employ two-factor authentication.

The worst thing about this broker is requiring to type in a code sent to your mobile phone every time you log in. Fine if you trade once a week but not acceptable if you trade 5 times a day. Terrible service.

Excellent in the circumstances.

This comment from Simon Borrows says it all:

We enter our new financial year in the knowledge that we have a high quality investment portfolio with broad exposure to sectors with strong underlying growth, as well as a net asset value grounded in 'through the cycle' valuation multiples, rather than reflecting some of the very high valuations we are witnessing in markets at present. We are also maintaining strong price discipline and avoiding the exuberance seen in many of today's transactions as we add to our high-quality portfolio."

Really strong results, particularly after a couple of material costs as you say. Bodes very well for post COVID performance

FY results:

Looks remarkable to me, with an 18% rise in NAV despite FX loss and pension costs.
But a 27% nav premium will probably dampen progress.

The share price seems to be just about at its highs, give or take, after a generally torrid year all round in 2020.
But perhaps not very surprising for what appears to be such a well managed company.
Long may it continue.

Anyone got any thoughts, effects or info on big buy/sell transactions by Directors?
