07/3/2019 20:50 | vsat, I don't know where you were 40 years ago but road congestion and pollution were most definitely key factors in public transport decisions at local and national government level. Many roads were one lane and jammed. We had two major oil crises crushing the economy. We had Pollution from diesel cars and trucks. We had lead in petrol spewed out as a fine aerosol for children to inhale.Britain desperately needed more affordable, more reliable, more frequent public transport. | nod
06/3/2019 12:58 | IMO We need to see progress this year and hope to hear positive news regarding contract wins and the acceptance of the company’s new technology. 2018 figures out at the end of March/early April. Expecting breakeven however hoping to hear a positive forecast for 2019. Hope we are rewarded for our patience in the coming months. | vfast
06/3/2019 12:19 | Added a smidge to my position this morning and patiently holding. | red army
06/3/2019 09:00 | Pollution charge may be brought to Newcastle and Gateshead. Dated 18 February 2019. The authorities say they are faced with a "public health crisis" caused by traffic pollution and must meet government clean air targets by 2021 creation of Clean Air Zones in central Newcastle and Gateshead and on key commuter routes. Many large Cities in the UK and across the world need to take action regarding pollution. The key factor is the reduction of private car use which was not relevant 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago. I prefer to look forward to the changing regulations and technology that are relevant today and tomorrow. | vfast
03/3/2019 10:01 | I agree, by the end of 2019 shareholders will know the situation with a high degree of probability. Of course, hope and attachment may linger on well beyond probability. | nod
03/3/2019 09:48 | Nod, we'll agree to disagree however regardless to what we say it is up to the company to prove their worth. By the end of 2019 we should have our answer and I expect progress will be made in regard to the business and share price | vfast
03/3/2019 08:32 | vsat, I can see you are very enthusiastic and optimistic, as are the directors. I'm not going to be anti their view or your view. I was a shareholder when TGP acquired C21 and was optimistic about the technology and growth potential. Indeed, there was revenue growth, as I've mentioned, but C21 now has much lower revenues than it did 8 years ago. .All the things you say about demand were there 10 years ago, 20, 30, 40 years ago. It is 40 years since I wrote the fare modelling system for Greater Manchester Buses to get people out of their cars, onto public transport, and ease congestion on the roads. Fares were cut. Services were improved. It worked for a few years.. | nod
02/3/2019 11:15 | Nod, C21 are well aware of the opportunities opening up in the UK and worldwide. Do C21 products work with electric buses? the answer to that is of course they do! I'v said it before there are big changers coming to the transport sector in the UK and government want people out of cars especially in Cities in the UK and worldwide. Newcastle and Gateshead council are looking to start a congestion charge for cars crossing the bridges of the River Tyne. I live in Northumberland 12 miles north of Newcastle and it has been on BBC Look North news. Also many other Cities in the UK are looking at simpler schemes. It is Government lead and targets will be set to reduce car use in major Cities. Pollution is a big driver for the push to public transport and the transport industry need to up their game and make public transport user friendly and more efficient also a long with H&S. C21 exclusive deal with SmartVision is all part of the future changes taking place. See below, note by 2020 TfL vehicles and already one type of single and one type of double decker buses are been targeted for the SmartVision tech. Russ Singleton, 21st Century’s Chief Executive Officer, commented: “The SmartVision CMS is an important step towards TfL’s Vision Zero commitment to eliminate death and serious injury involving buses. By 2020, it is anticipated that CMS will become compulsory on many TfL vehicles, but is already being offered as an option on new vehicles from UK manufacturers, enabling operators to get a head start on making their vehicles safer for passengers, the public and drivers alike.” You mentioned a 10% increase in turnover but the profit has not increased this is because C21 have employed around 11 extra people in their R&D department (15 people in the R&D department now) because of the many new opportunities that are opening up. Also C21 have developed their own software with IP writes which companies/organisati I repeat there are big big changes coming to the transport sector which C21 are in a good place to take advantage of. In my opinion small companies like C21 have the best opportunities than what they have ever had in past. My guess is consolation will take place in the sector and companies like C21 will be targeted by bigger players wanting a slice of the transport/new technology cake however we need to give it time 24/36 months. Nevertheless I'm expecting to see the fruits of the regulation changes and new technology take place this year. Nod, I’m not totally anonymous on the BB there are people that know me/have met in London at AGM’s and they will tell you without given anything away I put my money where my mouth is. | vfast

01/3/2019 01:42 | Berlin recently announced a huge investment and upgrade in public transport. C21 should put a lot of effort in trying to win contracts on major investments, which usually want leading-edge technology.https://w | nod
01/3/2019 01:36 | My son did a big tour of Latin America two years ago and generally found the public transport to be good. | nod

28/2/2019 13:12 | I noticed they are exhibiting in a South American trade show. Could be a good market for them. Bus Transportation very popular... | makem6

15/2/2019 09:21 | Any thoughts on the trading update on Christmas Eve?"Revenue for the Period is expected to be in excess of 10% higher than last year with underlying operating profits expected to be broadly in line with last year."Op profits were around 100k last year. | nod
22/1/2019 12:45 | Wise words.I wouldn't say "arguments", just different perspectives. Argument is a confrontation. I prefer a calm discussion of views and experiences, without confrontation. | nod
22/1/2019 11:48 | It is always best to listen to two sides of the argument and never get carried away wearing rose tinted glasses. I do believe there is good potential however we need to see the new tech attract profitable orders and hope we will see that happen this year. | vfast
22/1/2019 09:54 | Red, you have been here for a few decades. If you don't follow boards that you don't have shares in, how do you know when is a good time to invest? Do you just dive in without researching a company?Personally, I'm not interested in reading only bullish opinions on these boards. The more bullish and outrageous the board, the louder alarm bells should ring. That's the beauty of these boards, we can read a balance of civilised and often educated views, both bullish and bearish views, without intimidation or prejudice. It's crucial for investment decisions to get a balanced scorecard and to research the information posted by others. | nod
22/1/2019 01:13 | Are you new to this investment game? | nod
21/1/2019 22:10 | Don't understand. If you don't believe in the potential then why have on watch list?? | red army
21/1/2019 21:44 | As an investor and trader since the 1990s. If you read historic boards you will see I was a fairly active poster from the 1990s until around 7 or 8 years ago, by which time I was no longer a shareholder. I keep C21 on my watch list and read the posts. As an IT veteran I'm interested in the technology developments. I'm watching for a breakout in revenues. I've explained why I don't see a breakout as being imminent. | nod
21/1/2019 21:13 | Nod In what capacity have you written that statement??? | red army
21/1/2019 20:57 | We have always been a technology company, since Toad was created by Sir Christopher Evans of biotech fame. After he had his very flash new car stolen, he believed he could develop higher tech security solutions for vehicles, including dashboard cameras. Evans remained a major shareholder for a long time. We grew through some acquisitions. I had high hopes when active Swedish investor Peter Gyllenhammer became a major shareholder around 2006. TGP revenues were over 17 million then but Gyllenhammer thought they should be much higher. We won some Scandinavian bus contracts after that. PG held over 14% for a long time. The idea behind merging privately held C21 bus with listed Toad Group was to better compete in a competitive transport market through technology investment and scale. It hasn't panned out unfortunately.. | nod
15/1/2019 17:31 | dealit, new methods (technology) may take time to implement as operators are cautious for obvious reasons. However my understanding is that operators are showing a lot interest. Every operator wants to save money and reduce costs. The government have put aside x millions (can't remember the exact amount)so operators can claim grants to implement the new regulations which C21 are well aware of. Read the 2018 interim results and there is a very short sentence which no one has picked up on regarding a potential new customer and it's not a transport operator. Predicting timing and share price are for people with a lot more knowledge than I or for fools. | vfast |
