karld1 - I think most on the board expect the operational results to be good, and the shareprice to reflect it. The property is definitely an added bonus.

Just been turned onto this stock by Greystone - and I've just read through all the posts too(easier to do than some threads). Do Wole/Advisor/Jasperminka/Redpin (sorry if I've missed any other regulars) think that when the results come out that the price will move? Seems a bit "baby minnow" at the moment. I'm toying with buying, esp because of the property portfolio (Swansea the only Welsh city to get EU Tier 1 funding for development areas at the moment) - any thoughts on its potential guys?

Too right advisor!
Someone's picked up 70K this morning. Looks like the results will be out all too soon! Bet them Welsh bus drivers don't see anything wrong with "advising" a few mates on how to get a cheap ride!

Given how long they've made us long-suffering shareholders wait for our rewards and faith the results better be good! Still whichever you look at it the company is a growth company and there shoud only be one direction for the market cap...

Will be an intresting week, and if the results are what we hope (when they appear)and the "Lord" puts his hand in his pocket and buys a handful and get another mention in his column, Wahey again. Rocket to the moon. The countdown is on only 15 trading days till end of FEB and during that time we will see our fate.

TLG's Swansea depot is very close to the Morfa development. This development consists of a new sports stadium, which will be the new homes of Swansea City FC and The Ospreys. There is also going to be a lot of retail development including Morrisons superstore and B&Q etc etc...

TLG's 4.8 acres are very close to this development so it'll be interesting to see what they do with it.

Property & land prices have gone crazy in Swansea so the 4.8 acres are a major asset.

Further to my last:

Report stating that Swansea is a great place for property in general (which will also help the bus business) -

2001 report stating land prices of £160,000 per acre (now about £200,000) in the Cardiff area, which values TLG development land (not including depot) at £1 million -

In broad terms that's a nice boost to the NAV, esp in terms of the RNS of last year: 28 August 2003

2 TRAVEL GROUP PLC
PLANNING APPROVAL ON SWANSEA SITE AND TRADING UPDATE

2 Travel Group Plc, the AIM listed South Wales based bus and coach operator (the
"Company"), has been granted a 'Certificate of Proposed Lawful Use for
Development' on its 4.8 acre freehold site in Swansea. Given that the City and
County of Swansea has recognised the use of the site as a departure from its
local plan and its close proximity to the Morfa Stadium Development, the Company
is now seeking professional advice as to how to redevelop it in order to
maximise its value.

EDIT - I also found this quote in the Swansea 2003 Local Plan (at page 74 of ):

POLICY TRS 9 - A MAJOR REGIONAL SPORTS AND FORMAL RECREATION FACILITY IN THE CENTRAL PART OF THE LOWER SWANSEA VALLEY BASED ON THE MORFA STADIUM AREA WILL CONTINUE TO BE
DEVELOPED.

Amplification:
9.34 A key element of the Leisure Park is the £2½M Regional Sports Complex.
The framework for further development opportunities exists through the adopted Central Lower Swansea Valley Brief. This Brief recognises that there is space for
further sport and active recreation related uses in the vicinity of the stadium and that the area in the vicinity of Pluck Lake has considerable potential for informal and countryside related leisure. The view is also taken that the work of the local steam railway preservation society could significantly enhance the recreational
and tourism potential of the Lower Swansea Valley. Further landscaping works will enhance Morfa's setting.

All in all, it will be interesting to see how the markets see this one - always a danger of being too small to be noticed by the big boys and (dare I say it) a bit too amateurish to tell them themselves. Their website is pitiful for a quoted company...

As I say, I am a holder and have great hopes for the future. I just hope that the high-flying NEDs can exert a positive influence on the business strategy.

Redpin mentions (post 23) TLG's 5 acres of development land. Anyone know how much this is worth now, as Swansea seems to the "up and coming" enterprise area in Wales at the moment? I'm guessing it could (subject to zoning, planning etc) be a key asset, esp in balance sheet terms. Any ideas?

Giving TLG a mention on IMHO, the result should be good when released and TLG should move up strongly.

Redpin - but the FD said to me on 26 Jan (see post 57):

"We are just finalising the annual report with our auditors and it is the intention to publish the results in the next few weeks."

'Next few weeks' said 1 week ago means (imho) that they are delaying until latest statutory time (end Feb), otherwise he would have said 'next week or so' or 'next couple of weeks'. Or am I reading too much into it?

Do we know anything about share options of the directors? Is there a timescale attached? Could the results be spectacular but deliberately delayed so other senior employees can pick up more stock cheaper?
