03/2/2004 09:15 | Do you guys think there is a possiblity that having waited so expectantly for the results they'll end up being an anti-climax? | wole
03/2/2004 07:49 | Why the delay in announcing results? FD sent me an e-mail dated 17/12/03 saying that "It is currently the intention for the Board to sign off the accounts at their meeting in January 2004 and for the results to be submitted to the London Stock Exchange after this" | redpin
02/2/2004 16:12 | Tellings Golden (TGM) brought home £1.509m on sales of £21.309m (7.08% yield). The shares are trading on a PE of 26.455. I think there is a good chance that TLG will earn about £0.45m on sales of £4.5m (ie 10% yield) which pits the PE at 8! Easy to see why these shares could easily fly... | wole
02/2/2004 15:08 | Wole, do you think we will see Mr Bawbag putting through another protected sell again after the bell. Looked everywhere for any sign of a sell can't see anywhere, although funny thing buy online is down from 100k to 50k. just have to wait till after the bell again. Maybe MM scare tactic wanting your shares, bid price still same @7p offer now @7.7p. | advisor
01/2/2004 22:23 | jasper, "non-capital flotation costs of #212,000 have also been incurred and charged to the profit and loss account in the six months to 28 February 2003" - Interim results May 2003. | wole
01/2/2004 21:52 | OK, but what about the costs of flotation? Will these be taken as a massive one-off hit in the results or spread out (amortised?) over the next few years. How does this affect the interpretation of results? | jasperminka
31/1/2004 21:20 | Difficult to guess what the results will say. Given they've bought 11 new buses their costs would be well up, but then again they are carrying averagely 1000 passengers daily in the Neath area alone... | wole
31/1/2004 21:10 | Nice to see some big hitters come on board, shame the price didn't move, once the word is out this will fly...hopefully Mr Big Money will be a long term investor.. | advisor
31/1/2004 19:42 | advisor - looks like Mr Big Money has decided to join us! 2 x 150K bought late on friday at 8.3p and 8.25p. Very likely that results will be out next week, and possibly will be very good. Those monkeys in the city know how to keep their dosh to themselves, walk in last minute, pick up the bounty and make out like bandits! | wole
30/1/2004 10:31 | advisor - already spread it out into other things! One of them WTI now looks disastrous but I'm stuck! Guess you win some, you lose some! | wole
30/1/2004 10:05 | Wole not thinking of re-investing any of your profits from TMA into this one again?. | advisor
30/1/2004 09:59 | Agreed advisor - Bev Fowles (CEO) is also a well experienced man having headed subsidiaries of the First Group. On a long term basis these seem worth holding. | wole
30/1/2004 09:46 | Your're right jasperminka, they must be out by end of FEB by the rules, that means they have had there six months after their F/Y end. Next half yearly results are from Aug 03 to Feb 04, so they they have a futher three months to publish them. They could be holding on as long as possible to the end of Feb for F/Y, and publish there six month result shortly after that, if they have had good results from both in a short time who knows where the price might end up. They have a very experienced man on board by the name of Sir Richard Needham who has a wealth of knowledge advising small and large companies on running their business, he knows what he is doing. | advisor
30/1/2004 07:44 | I'm predicting results out at the latest possible time (end Feb?) as there has been no news recently and no sense of urgency. It may be that there are new contracts being concluded that the board would like to include in the accompanying report and they won't release until then, but my impresssion is that these guys are coach operators first and balance sheet preparers second! Great for investors in the medium/long term, just frustrating in the meanwhile. Just a shame their website is so pants that you can't make head nor tail of the company, and you have to delve into other D&B type information. | jasperminka
27/1/2004 16:39 | Advisor - would be nice. Mind you, we'll get swamped by the derampers who've never studied the company before and get called all sorts! | wole
27/1/2004 15:58 | Wloe do you think TLG will rise like TMA??? Lets hope. | advisor
27/1/2004 10:47 | nice one jasperminka. We've waited so long and so eagerly for the results i'm afraid they'll probably end up anti-climaxing! Hope not... | wole
26/1/2004 08:55 | I've emailed them 4 times now on the address shown on their website but not had any reply at all. Good punt on EIC though - although spread so wide the current bid price (0.75p) not yet the start offer price of 0.73. [EDIT at 1200] Got out at 1.1p on EIC, nice little earner.... Spoke too soon about contact with them, just had this: Dear Sir, thank you for your recent email. Please accept my apologies for not replying sooner but your original message appears to have been misdirected. We are just finalising the annual report with our auditors and it is the intention to publish the results in the next few weeks. Upon publication I will forward a copy of the announcement to you be email. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me. 26/1/2004 08:41 | advisor - too right! But it still looks to me like easy money. Shame the company does a bad job of communicating to shareholders. I emailed them but got no reply. I sold 10K this morning to fund a small buy in EIC. Stupid Hoodless Brennan did not carry out a cash injection order I gave on Friday... EDIT: Bailed out of EIC at 1.15p making a small profit! | wole
24/1/2004 12:48 | Keep the faith. | jasperminka
23/1/2004 22:06 | What do you think is going on wole?. Why is this protected trade going through after the bell quite a few times, and when there is a buyer he pops his ugly head up to sell. Why would a MM want to buy only 10k or to just sell 10K can't be much cash in it for them at these prices, and is it a good or bad sign for this to happen?. so many questions and who has the answers?. I think we need the results out soon wole or we will be the only holders left!. | advisor
23/1/2004 17:12 | Well, can't say the shares aren't trading! Late 10K MM sell... | wole
21/1/2004 14:37 | Picked up and extra 15K @ 8.2p. May pick up some more... | wole
21/1/2004 11:02 | Thought I might as well top up with anoher 32k this morning, while the price is good. see what time it goes through at bought about 10:45 | advisor
20/1/2004 09:32 | Ya - too busy driving up and down Wales to care about putting some figures together! | wole |
