Holcim Ltd. and General Electric Co.'s renewables subsidiary have agreed to work together to explore ways of recycling old wind turbines, the two companies said Thursday.
GE Renewable Energy and Swiss cement maker Holcim, previously known as LafargeHolcim, signed a memorandum of understanding under which the latter will explore ways of reusing materials from GE's decommissioned turbines. The recycled materials could be used to build new farms, among other potential uses, the companies said.
