Equinor ASA said Friday that it has appointed Svein Skeie as chief financial officer, replacing Lars Christian Bacher, who has resigned with effect from Nov. 1.
Mr. Skeie is currently senior vice president for CFO performance management and control. He joined Equinor in 1996 and has held several leadership positions in finance, business development and economic analysis.
Mr. Bacher will remain available to Equinor until May 31, 2021, it said.
The change in CFO comes after Chief Executive Eldar Saetre recently announced his retirement from the company. Anders Opedal will take over as chief executive on Nov. 2.
