CVS Health Corp. said it is raising its minimum enterprise hourly wage to $15 an hour, effective July 2022.
The Woonsocket, R.I.-based pharmacy company Wednesday said the move next year will reflect a more than 60% increase in its minimum enterprise hourly wage over a four-year period. CVS said it will also offer higher starting hourly rates for roles such as pharmacy technicians and call-center representatives.
The company said incremental increases to its hourly rates are starting this month. It said 65% of its hourly employees are making more than $15 an hour.
CVS said it will eliminate the grade point average requirement for university recruitment this year. It has eliminated the high-school diploma or General Education Development requirement for most entry-level roles, the company said.
