Caterpillar Inc. and Certarus Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding to explore lower carbon energy solutions.
The MOU outlines areas where the two companies will work together to advance the use of lower carbon fuels including conventional and renewable natural gas and hydrogen.
Certarus is a provider of low carbon energy solutions through a fully integrated compressed natural gas, renewable natural gas and hydrogen platform.
The companies said they would look at opportunities to bring low carbon natural gas energy solutions to off pipeline applications and bring hydrogen energy solutions to their combined customers.
