ADRs End Largely Higher; DBV Technologies, CNOOC Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed largely higher Monday.

The BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 0.4% to 152.40. The European index fell 0.1% to 138.00. The Asian index rose 1% to 185.56. The Latin American index fell 0.4% to 265.04. The emerging-markets index increased 0.7% to 344.65.

DBV Technologies (DBVT), CNOOC Ltd (CEO) and Grifols SA (GRFS) were among those with ADRs that traded actively.

ADRs of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co. (SHI) rose 3.3% to $62.25 as the company reported results for 2017, including a rise in revenue and profit.

CNOOC Ltd (CEO) said today that its Weizhou 6-13 oilfield has started production ahead of schedule. ADRs rose 3.3% to $148.19.

DBV Technologies (DBVT), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, said it would issue and sell up to $150 million of new ordinary shares, which may be in the form of American Depositary Shares. The global offering will be comprised of a public offering of ordinary shares in the form of ADSs in the United States, Canada and certain countries outside of Europe and a private placement of ordinary shares in Europe, including France. ADRs of the company fell 2.7% to $22.01.

Spanish health-care company Grifols SA (GRFS) agreed to buy Germany's Haema AG from investment company Aton GmbH for 220 million euros ($270.6 million), according to a regulatory filing on Tuesday. ADRs of Grifols rose 1.3% to $21.09.
