--Boeing's MAX 737 aircraft may get clearance to fly from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administation by next month, a U.N. group was told, Reuters reports Thursday, citing "three people with knowledge of the matter."
--The governing council for the U.N.'s International Civil Aviation Organization were given a private briefing by the FAA and Boeing on Thursday, the report said.
--Officials from the FAA said the U.S. might allow the jets back in the air late next month, but it wasn't clear when other countries would make a similar move, the report said.
--The FAA declined to comment, but referred to a statement from its acting chief Daniel Ellwell that said he had no timetable for a decision, the report said. Boeing didn't immediately respond to a request for comment, the report said.
