Hiiroc - we find are merely another small private company formed only last year with no annual report yet submitted and only a couple of officers. AFC might be better off employing Hiirocs Chief Science Officer within AFC or buying Hiiroc outright to do it more cheaply.

Can anyone tell me how AFC have solved the problem where even tiny conentrations of C02 can poison an Alkane fuel cell? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alkaline_fuel_cell Aqueous alkaline solutions do not reject carbon dioxide (CO2) so the fuel cell can become "poisoned" through the conversion of KOH to potassium carbonate (K2CO3). Because of this, alkaline fuel cells typically operate on pure oxygen, or at least purified air and would incorporate a 'scrubber' into the design to clean out as much of the carbon dioxide as is possible.

Tonsil - I've just reread my post - I've held AFC since 2012 - unfortunately not TSLA! :-)

That is an awesome agreement to secure. I hope the market understands that, and rerates AFC accordingly.

HiiROC Agreement. Highlights · HiiROC's technology platform looks to, as distinct from steam methane reforming, produce clean, zero CO2 emission hydrogen through a unique plasma process fuelled by natural gas or biogas, converting hydrocarbons (CH4) into a clean hydrogen stream and a high value solid carbon ("carbon black"). · Under the binding Heads of Agreement, AFC Energy and HiiROC have agreed to enter into a Commercialisation Agreement intended to include the following provisions: o AFC Energy to obtain global preferential rights to integrate HiiROC's plasma-based technology with the Company's proprietary H-Power fuel cell, including an initial reduction in Hydrogen cost to AFC Energy derived from the system cumulatively valued at £2m. o AFC Energy to also be granted exclusive rights to HiiROC's technology in key regions, including the UK, Europe and Australia, in the field of electrified transportation, including electric vehicles. o Integration of the HiiROC and AFC Energy technology platforms, which if successful, has the potential to unlock natural gas as a zero-emission, low cost hydrogen fuel carrier. · It is anticipated that the Commercialisation Agreement will contain full commercial terms and principles that the parties intend to be bound based on the ongoing development work conducted in 2020. · AFC Energy is investing £100,000, payable in AFC Energy shares, into HiiROC's scaling up programme, which were allotted to HiiROC on 24 January 2020 conditional on admission to trading on AIM. AFC Energy also intends to make up to £300,000 of "in-kind" contribution to HiiROC over 12-18 months to support the development of a prototype unit.

You've held Tesla since 2012! Well hats off to you. Well done. I hold 95 T shares and a lot more AFC which I've held since their first YouTube video grabbed my attention.

When liners, limos and Zeppelins ruled the Earth ...and New York alone had 16,000 charging points for electric cars. "And, for the ecologically minded, the first car to exceed 100 kilometres per hour was electric, as were half of all cars on the road in 1900: New York alone had 16,000 charging stations. By 1910, one car – the Baker Electric – could go 100 miles before needing a recharge. It was only because petrol was a lot cheaper than electricity that it became the standard means of propulsion."

Tonsil - you should watch the video clip in post 11106, where he points out that Tesla have really got the charging points off to a tee - for Tesla owners. Other charging points seem (currently - no pun intended) to be pretty hit and miss. I've held since 2012.

That’s McPhy, but hopefully there will be a tie up with them to provide a fuel cell, if AFC don’t receive a project themselves.
