To answer anley I think the 100k they raised recently should be enough to pay for the first Gilpas jorc and the Metallic ground survey at Salmon iron ore target. I would expect another 5m shares will be issued to raise money before the Salmon rare earth drill starts to also pay for the more sizable Gilpas jorc. By then the share price should have risen nicley. november 2011. @All going well we will hopfully be sitting on a nice uranium jorc rising our share price way north ready to be drilled deeper for a huge jorc. @A rare earth target at Salmon ready for drilling to jorc. @An iron ore target at Salmon ready to be drill tested. @Kuusivaara ready for field work With our assets and bod fund raising should not be a problem. After all, do these projects sound like a company that should have a market cap of 2.2 million ! dyor

Could you please prove to me that Jan Larsson owns 6m shares in ASMO. I am also well aware of his involvement with BEM & ASMO but ASMO has nothing to show yet except that there may be uranium in commercial quantities and until this becomes clear a great deal of capital is required to prove this. Uranium is not the mineral of the month at the moment - I wont go into this - so the investment market is very difficult. When you have two of the TOP Canadian uranium mining companies share price only reflecting a break up value I will stick to my quote on a previous post - not buying yet until I can see some good results and believe me thats what this market is all about at the moment.

thelength1 - 23 May'11 - 07:01 - 811 of 812 Superb post. Great detail, that must of been a lot of work. Looking at the volume i think these are starting to appear on peoples radar now. Mr Larsson has 6 million of these and he has a super record, look at BEM. The man just knows. These wont hang around at this low price for long.

So how much is this all going to cost and who will be putting up the capital? And thats only my first question.

Fingers crossed you get a reply. I e mailed a few weeks ago about the major share holders without a reply. In general, the Swedish State companies had separate areas and metals of interest and foreign companies were discouraged by the then State royalty of 50 percent. The Swedish State, in the form of AB Atomenergi (Anon, 1990), carried out exploration for uranium in the Alum Shales from the 1950's to 1967, after which the SGU took over uranium exploration. The SGU carried out work under contract for LKAB, the Swedish State iron ore company in the Pleutajokk area in 1977. lkb looked for iron ore up the road at pleutajokk !!!! RL13, I emailed Conrad yesterday as it goes, nice present for him to receive on a Monday morning with his coffee! I will advise the board of any response I receive, upon his approval :-) I asked the following questions: * Gilpas - Duration of drilling/next course of action. * Samon - If ground magnetic survey confirms the geophysicists intial positive feedback, what do they intend to do next? * Major shareholders? * Any plans for a JV, if they receive positive feedback re Samon/Gilpas. * Further fund raising plans? * Aim listing? * Broker note? Think that was about everything, should have really saved a draft version of the email!

There is defo no drilling going on! Of that I am sure. Very frustrating. There seems no reason for not getting the permits to proceed (I contacted the mining inspector). And it only costs 60k or something of that order to do this drilling (its not deap drilling). And a drill contractor ready to go, as was my understanding last month. Just a case of pressing on. Very frustrating. I take the point about uranium being out of favour but with the costs involved and the market cap of the company, and the high grade % uranium they are chasing at Gilpas, its v much worth doing even now. Also, having a jorc in place before when the market picks up is a good thing. Anyway, I await news of the drilling with baited breath...maybe..

No not yet as I see there are still shares being dribbled out by those lucky to get them at 0.25p last year. The uranium story as far as the stock market is concerned is very out of favour. And if you are right and there is no drilling going on then one should as a patient investor wait for the results. In the meantime I will sit and wait........but thank you for your post.

anley, we're at your target purchase price i believe. Although drilling still not yet confirmed, which might also have been a requirement of yours. My ideal scenario would be that they confirm a drill rig is on route, and the share price stays where it is. Would be awesome.

well SJ74 there are a number of ways to buy PLUS shares - but all of them reqire you to pick up a telephone and do the deal the old fashion way. Try JPJBrokers...use Google to give you the right telephone number....they are the cheapest. You need to do your own research on ASMO so go back and read all the posts - get the report and accounts (on the PLUS website) and look in to how much it costs to drill etc by looking at small Canadian companies quoted on the TSX stock exchange as the research here in the UK is very poor. Good luck.............

Fair enough Anley. I couldn't see that much detail in the accounts myself. And I'm less concerned with the financials and more focussed on practical progress on the ground. Really ASMO should be able to get contracts signed and a drill rig on site with the existing money they raised I should think. I understood that they have a contractor ready willing and able. Drilling, in my understanding for Gilpas, costs around £50k or something of that order (judging from BEM's drilling costs in Sweden). Certainly much much less than £100k+ which they should have in the bank. I understand the directors have not taken a salary, and they certainly haven't spent any money on the website! They will only have spent some money on annual fees to keep the existing licences alive. And we're not talking mega bucks for that, only a few thousand. So I'd expect them to be able to press on with what they have. I can't see any reason whatsoever for not doing this. We know the drill permits should be forthcoming in the next week or so. Anyway, here's hoping we have a rig on site soon. Long story short, with assets this good, it wld be inexcusable not to start drilling when the money is available, the weather is good and the driller also available, not to mention a horrific waste of a golden financial opportunity all round. IMO these opportunities don't come around that often in life. The balls at asmo's feet, it just needs a kick! LOL

My 788 post remains relevent but looking at the accounts ASMO needs to raise at least a further £250,000 just to cover its expenses and drilling plans which it has mentioned in its report posted on the PLUS site. The value of the company in my view is not £3m but a lot less so as I have said I will await the drilling results sometime in JULY/August and look at a possible buy then provided they can also raise further funding as well. Sorry to be bearish but I am also a value investor and I am not seeing this with ASMO at the moment.

Yes. Not quite sure of the market cap now, but it must be no more than £3million I shld think. Great assets here, just need the company to press on and I'm sure the value will start to become apparent. I expect a tick up in the share price when the drill rig is on site.

As a Beowulf holder from penny-share status, I can't help but wonder what grades and volume of IO lies below the ground on the Samon License...... "Although the magnetite target is at an early stage, we are excited about its potential, and look forward to reporting progress on its development in the coming weeks." We have the same geologist, Jan working for ASMO and Beowulf and these will be his comments or sentiments. I also like the idea of newsflow on this within weeks. A few optimistic words from the geologists who will be commencing on the ground magnetometer work will send the share price much higher on "iron-ore-fever" with the chance of catching an early rise the way BEM moved for its early-adopters. At the current share price its worth a gamble on the IO alone. Then there is the U /Th /RE's as well. DYOR I hold long Not worried

I'm optimistic about the Uranium at Gilpas. Gilpas includes the Pleutajokk deposit and I found the following excerpt from a 2002 report on the Geological Survey of Sweden website, "Section 6.1.5 does not mention the uranium mineralization which at SGU's exploration in the 1960s and '70s were located within the municipality, of which Pleutajokk north by Lake Hornavan is among the largest in the country." Just need to get the drilling license ...

Dunno abut Kuusivaara, but on Samon they are going to do some "work" to find out the extent of the magnetite ore which they found on an old geophysical survey and realised it was on their licence. Not quite sure what work it is - the last rns didnt say. Its very encouraging though.
