Naspers Limited: Closing of Allegro Transaction

South Africa-based global internet and entertainment group, Naspers Limited (JSE: NPN.SJ and LSE: NPSN) announced a transaction on 14 October 2016 to dispose of its 100% stake in Poland-based Allegro Group, which includes both Allegro.pl and Ceneo.pl, to funds advised by private equity firms Cinven, Permira and Mid Europa for US$3.253bn. Shareholders are advised that all pre-conditions have been met and the transaction closed effective 18 January 2017.
