Exide Technologies Partners with Multiple NASCAR Teams in Sport's
Top Three Divisions for 2004
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J., April 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Exide Technologies, the
"Official Battery of NASCAR," is proud to announce multiple NASCAR team
partnerships for 2004, which will extend the Company's involvement in America's
fastest growing spectator sport.

partnership with four teams among NASCAR's top three divisions. The teams
include: the #0 Hass/CNC Racing Chevrolet driven by Ward Burton in the NASCAR
Nextel Cup Series; the #17 Reiser Enterprises Ford driven by Matt Kenseth in the
NASCAR Busch Series; the #6 Tommy Baldwin Racing Dodge driven by multiple
drivers in the NASCAR Busch Series; and the #21 Innovative Motorsports Toyota
driven by Hank Parker, Jr. in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

In 2004, Exide will adorn the racing vehicles and transporters of Reiser
Enterprises (as well as Kenseth's uniform), Tommy Baldwin Racing and Innovative
Motorsports. In addition, there will be advertising and promotional
opportunities with all four teams, which includes Haas/CNC Racing.
This season marks the third consecutive year Exide and Tommy Baldwin Racing
(TBR) have had an association. As a part of the "Hungry Drivers" program,
sponsored by Ragu, Country Crock and Hellmann's, TBR will compete in 12 Busch
races with several young up-and-coming drivers, including Paul Wolfe, Tracy
Hines and Mark McFarland.
Exide and Reiser Enterprises began their association in 2003 as Kenseth, the
reigning NASCAR Nextel Cup Series Champion, captured two victories in 14 starts
in his Reiser entry in the Busch Series. This season, the Bayer- sponsored team
plans to run 10 events with Kenseth, who has 14 career wins in the Busch
Series.
Haas/CNC Racing begins its second full season in NASCAR's premier series with a
former Daytona 500 champ at the wheel of the NetZero machine. Burton, who has
five career triumphs in the Nextel Cup Series, has a best finish of ninth in
2004 at Rockingham. He will compete in all 36 races.
Innovative Motorsports, a long-time player in the Busch Series, is making its
first venture into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Toyota. Parker, Jr.,
son of famed fisherman Hank Parker, has two Busch Series wins to his credit. The
team, searching for full-time primary sponsorship, plans to run the entire Truck
Series in '04.
