Cisco said it is buying event technology platform Socio Labs in a move that will bolster its Webex Events business.
The company didn't disclose the deal's financial terms in a statement Wednesday. The deal is expected to close in Cisco's fourth quarter.
Cisco said the Socio Labs team will become a part of its Webex customer experience team.
Jeetu Patel, Cisco security and collaboration senior vice president and general manager, said that the "future of events...will be hybrid."
"Socio Labs offers Webex powerful technology to provide customers with an unparalleled hybrid event management solution to engage participants whether they join in person or virtually," he said.
