At 2.00 am ET Friday, the Office for National Statistics has released UK retail sales data for May. The pound traded mixed against its major rivals after the data. While it dropped further against the yen and the franc, it changed little against the dollar and the euro.
The pound was trading at 152.98 against the yen, 1.3900 against the greenback, 0.8563 against the euro and 1.2760 against the franc around 2:05 am ET.
